I had to update to 5.0.1 from 5.0 and restore my backup, which took forever, then I was able to re-jailbreak.

installed the untethered JB for 5.0.1 on my iphone4, works great except for cydia takes an unusually long time loading/downloading data (i.e. the part that finishes with "Done: Releases" takes about 2 minutes to actually finish)

anybody else experiencing this slow Cydia shit?

That happens to me too. Took me an entire day to finally get Mywi back on my phone, and my battery is draining like fuck fast now.

Every time a new major jailbreak comes out the Cydia servers get hammered. Normally takes a day or two for the traffic to die down enough. It's been a little faster for me this morning now. The funny part, the new updated cydia app is actually a lot faster now, but you can't tell with the slow servers.

I was able to get installous/mywi/tapatalk so im done trying for a while. Phones locking up during respring though since going from tethered to untethered. Lost all my icons before, was fun.

Apparently any time i disable mywi (at least through sb toggle) I lose all Internet browsing capabilities including over 3g until I reboot, but can still call and text.

The power brick for my iPad is two pieces right, the piece that has the 2 pronged plug is just that, right (no circuitry)? I'm sure that's so apple can easily switch out that piece for different countries. My question is, if I use say a ps2 wall plug that looks like it will fit in there, will it damage anything?

I recently got my first iphone (got the 32g 4s) after having a droid x for the past two years. Can anyone recommend a decent free or low cost gps app with voice navigation? I never had a problem with the built in navigation that came with the droid x and was hoping to find something similar on my iphone.

iPhone 4S / iPad 2 untethered Jailbreak coming today from Chronic Dev Team. New tool called Absinthe. Must be on 5.0.1 to use it. If not on 5.0.1 and ever plan on jailbreaking either, update NOW. Remember there is no way to downgrade 4S or iPad 2 even with SHSH blobs. Once 5.1 drops, you will be fucked if you haven't updated. And they have already said that 5.1 beta shows that the 5.0.1 jailbreak is patched in 5.1

so far lots of issues w/ the JB

issues with camera roll, issues with actually finishing the JB due to server overloads w/ the absinthe app, there are a few other issues at ijailbreak.com

gonna wait a few days...

always best to wait a few days when a new jailbreak comes out. Even if you get the jailbreak done, Cydia is so overloaded that you can't really do shit anyways.

sometimes when I attach photos with FB app from camera roll it crashes the app

Just jailbroke today, havent noticed any problems but Cydia was being super slow so I gave up.
