Anyone use AT&T u-verse?
Swampy, You been noticeably absent from any recent Political thread thats popped up. What gives?
I know people I work with who have it at home. They seem to like it a lot. The only issues I've read about are two fold (and the people at my work don't run into this): 25 mbit line to the house and that's it. Should you get one of the higher internet plans (I think it's 16 or 18 mbit, I forget) and you download at your max rate it can start to affect your TV. The other being they're trialing 150 GB caps, though that's only an issue for hardcore copyright infringers.
Also, from what I hear, they use less compression and the picture looks better than Comcast cable, though that's not saying much.
This was a horrible idea and it seems to be dying the fiery death it deserved. Although I don't think we've won yet. They're gonna keep trying to repackage it and represent it in a way that will get the public on board. Failing that, they'll probably just try to ram it through the system. Good luck with that, fuckers.
