You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

fast answer how to hint at getting fired!

At work atm and forgot that I'm supposed to "hint" to my co-worker he's going to get laid off (really kinda fired cause he sucks hardcore at the job, but trying to be nice and getting laid off instead)

Boss wanted me to kinda soften the blow before she tells him, and I dunno how to do it D:

"Dude... you might want to wreck everything and leave before the boss calls you into the office." That said your boss is being very unprofessional. I don't know what the situation is but it is generally no one's business but the person getting fired and the people above him/her.

Tell your fucking boss to "man" up and fire him. That shit shouldn't be delegated to you unless you're his direct supervisor/boss. With that said, firing people at the end of the day is bullshit. Do it in the morning so they don't feel they've wasted the last 8 hours of their life. Plus, it gives them time to go to the unemployment office.

Ask him what his long-term plans are for his occupation, and how satisfied he is at this current job. It'll get those gears working.

note: I'm kinda? a partner with the boss sort of. IT's a long complicated story. She wanted me to be the business partner, but she sucks at accounting and business is just really bad right now (business is pretty much going to close down once lease is over in january anyways, just need to keep open to try and help pay the rent even if we're not making enough).

IF times had been better and the business was doing well I might have gone on as a partner, but it was too risky an investment. So even though she is the boss by name, I am kinda a step below her. I never considered myself above him though, but I guess I kinda am. When I was hired we were on the same level, but since I actually do my job I was given a lot more responsibilites, but no like "official" new title.

Also, the guy getting fired is a typical lazy college student who's been getting paid under the table because he's technically no longer allowed to be in the US (came here under his mom's working visa and was going to college when the visa expired, but is still here). He comes into work 20-30 min late each time, and leaves 20-30 minutes early, but still puts the regular time on his time card. Spends more time talking with the students and gets them all distracted, instead of keeping them focused on work. Cannot work with more than 2 kids at a time when I'm here working with 10. Tries to distract me constantly by talking when I'm working with students.

Basically he deserves to get fired, but I'm not a business person, and I've never had to like fire someone before. What's worse I feel bad because he was working here like a year before I joined so feels like I'm just pushing him out.

Firing people isn't as hard as it seems. Take him to a room, tell him it isn't working out, and his truancy has been unacceptable. It'll last less than 5 minutes and you'll be relieved after it's all done.

Your boss should be doing these, there are fuckton of cliche ways to tell. I'd recommend you to be kind and straightforward. I also really wouldn't bother with hinting as it'll prolong the process unnecessarily and just going to be frustrating for you and him. Do it early and quick so he can actually use the day to look for a new job, etc.

Don't dance around, there is no easy or soft blow for this. It shouldn't take longer than 5 mins like someone mentioned above.

Ask him: "What do you see in your future here at <Company/business name>?

    After he replies

"Funny, I see this company's future, and you're not in it."

I had to let someone go this last Friday. I did it right at time entry time. I told him that I had to cut him and shook his hand. I didn't try to feed him crap or soften the blow really, I think he was just expecting it anyway.

-11 would be the most appropriate for this situation.
