I hover at 1mill normally, most I ever had was 7mill during inflation.

Have 2 more major purchases to make then most of my money's gonna be funneled into relic.

This makes me Oo. You've got 1m (most you've ever had is 7m, during inflation), and you're after a relic? I don't mean to criticize you, as I don't know you at all and I'm sure you're a very nice person. But there seem to be so many people going after relics these days with almost no start up capital.

Not singling you out to pick on you, I promise. Just frustrated because the concept of buying all the currency outright for a relic is terrifying, and the spate of new people going after relics makes it impossible to ever find a group looking for a sponsor.

Somewhere in the vicinity of 500k. Something that always bugged me was why people without endgame shells weren't rich all of the time. Personally, I'd spend most of my time doin bcs, enms and stuff like that since i wouldn't have to camp or do salvage or some other "long winded" event and be rich.

Oh, it ranges between 10-15M, depending on how active I want to synth, and how long I let my fish selling mule to sit before buying something absurd with him.

I'm finished with my Ebisu Rare/Ex items, now just waiting on GP for key item and then can sell my Lu shangs.

Download Art-Money, run it, select ffxi as process, click search. exact value, value = your gil, type = integer. You'll get a couple of addresses on the left, double click them to the right, change the number under value and click the empty box under the F column to lock it. Your gil is now showing up as whatever you put in the value.

This is where all mine went at the height of inflation. 550m was only about 5k but that was such an easy decision.

I planned to leave for good but then the wife wanted to play again I sure hate starting over from scratch though, crafting used to be so much more fun hehe

Should waited til it got up to ~$35/Mil! Good times to be had. I never came into money until post inflation, so I never had crazy amounts. I think the most I ever had on me was about 70M right after my Kyudogi +1 sold back in January of 07. I never really built up a lot because I would periodically take breaks and sell half my gil.

When I quit in Jan I had ~12M, and about 60M that I dumped once I sold my gear.

Just out of curiosity.. what happens when you hit max gil (the 999,999,999 threshold), and you sell something and get the gil for it? Does the game roll over your gil, give you a buffer over the max gil displayed or say "lol, screw you, you already got too much gil, you ain't getting paid!"

2 pages late, but it just gives you the inventory full error. Also, if smoeone has max gil, and they put something in theiry bazaar at 1G, no matter how much you try, it will say "you were unable to make that purchase." someone in my ls did it a long time ago (early 2006).

on a side note, currently sitting on 48M because i sold a kraken club recently. Most ever was 202M, during inflation like everyone else's max.

Most i've had was 25m back during inflation 12m of which was mine. Nowadays i barely have 1m on me at any given time while trying to pay for alexandrite to get mythic done.
