I kinda like how they redid the progression of the fight sequences compared to the original anime.

Still though, when it blatantly fucks with the manga like when the priest transmutate himself, it just genuinely pisses me off...

Oh well, somewhat looking forward to the armor brothers vs ed and greed vs ed fight, though I can't wait for the story to just start on the Xing arc so I don't have these feelings of deja vu.

If these pace is any indication, should be there by the episode 15 or so, since the only major event that's about to happen now is the laboratory arc and the greed hideout arc.

Yeah I like how the Anime is progressing so fast, but it was like that in the Manga as well. I think you are right about the Xing Arc starting around eps 15 or so. Also can't wait to see Armstrongs Sister later on...she kicks too much ass.

not required, but I'd watch it anyways. The beginning of V1 follows the manga more faithfully, while V2 skips alot or sums it up pretty simply just to get through those parts already covered by V1.
The second half of V1, while it doesnt follow the manga, is still a real great anime, and deserves to be watched.

Alot people just started picking up watching anime, or probably didn't have the space/non existent streaming sites for people.

I gotta admit i've deleted animes in the past due to lack of space ;/ But now that 1TB drives are under $100, I can keep backups of my important stuff, and amass all the anime music/animes/hentai stuff i like to collect without ever deleting it. Now if only It could all stay organized... I got so many... series going on at once, music downloading and pics to download... its all becoming a jumbled mess ;;

Yeah. I love Armstrong, and I really enjoyed this episode. Winry's VA is perfectly fine with me.

Seems like they're getting anywhere between 1.5 - 2 chapters per episode. Hypothetically, if the manga finishes by 100-110, we'll probably have 60ish episodes. I just hope they don't blast through it at such a pace where we catch up to the manga again, and are in the same place where the first one left off.

Unrelated to this ep. as I'm about to watch it but... Anyone else thinks it's funny how during the intro it shows Ed's arm and leg essentially disintegrate, Al's body too and Winry catches her balance, from what? A menacing breeze? lol

Awesome. That's how you know it's a great show; nothing much happens and it's still an enjoyable episode. Not to mention I've seen it the first time around.

No point of remaking the series if it's just gonna rehash the same bullshit as the original run. It's supposed to be accurate to the manga, but so far it has a fair amount of discrepancy, but I'm just crossing my finger on that being variation so that the viewer doesn't get too much of a deja vu on the event playing out.

Yeah, that's my view on it. They've had a ton of scenes directly from the manga. They've just added spice to it I guess so it isn't a total bore and all.
