Glad to see they were able to condense about 28 chapters into 13 episodes and get to the real meaty parts of the series. Next week we'll see where the anime v1 and manga split off and...

The emergence of father and the death of Greed by father boiling him. Also there is a part that was later on in the anime that happens in the next few episodes where bradley sticks his sword down Al's armor killing Martel.

So yeah there are similarities still, but, it still changes paces from the anime v1 completely.

I never understood why Ed got pissed off at Greed thought. Al wasnt hurt, and the exchanged seemed fair.

Saw it more as a disrespect toward their quest. He was sitting there basically telling him it was the best thing ever to have an immortal body, but they'd gone through hell just for Al to accidentally get it.

That and the fact that Al is suffering psychologically because he can't taste/eat food, touch others, and smell, which makes him feel less human.

I kinda liked the manga version of the whole situation unfolding better since it's so fucking hilarious when they were trying to catch Al and when Izumi raided them the first time, but I suppose it would take at least 2-3 episode if they do it that way.

I just hope that when they start hitting the manga arc the pacing would slow down, though the problem is they probably would need to keep the current pacing if they want to fit the entire series into 50ish episode series.

But who knows, maybe they'd go to 60-72?

Well if the manga ends with say 110 chapters, they could still do 50-52 episodes seeing as how they did 28 chapters in 13 episodes so far.

That's what Zilong said. To end the anime in 50 episodes, they need to keep the same pace, but it come at the cost of minor events being skipped, and longer scene being rushed.

Yeah it's kind of hard to see how they'd do it because the Xing arc has so much that goes on that it would be a shame for them to just rush through some of it's content.
