Xingese royal and their bodyguards are trained to sense chi, homunculus are detected as massive cluster chi due to the all the souls of people used within the philosopher stone, though Wrath bypassed that for being a human based homunculus, cue the ensuing epic fight between him and Ling

And no, he'd still have to use the glove since his scar would eventually heal, but leaving the mark on his hand still. Alchemical runes probably need to be really precise in order to initiate the transmutation, since Ed stopped Kimbley by just scratching the rune in his palm

Finally got around to watching this episode, and my god. What a perfect episode. Honestly.. best of the new season and best going back to the previous anime as well. This shit, especially at the end with Mustang vs Lust was just so fucking intense. Gonna be hard to follow up on this one.

Personally preferred Roy vs Envy as that shit has Divine Retribution written all over it, and it was like the only fight Mustang involved in where he didn't get handicapped by plot device.

Envy vs Mustang is an awesome fight I suppose, but the moment where Roy comes in to rescue Al and Hawkeye is just too awesome. Either way, I'm personally looking forward to Greed vs Wrath, but that's just me.

The original anime series was aired much earlier in the manga's progression and the anime director was given license to take the story in any way he saw fit. That resulted in a story that followed the manga to a point but then went off in its own direction. This series is the manga in anime form, staying almost completely true to it. There are many large differences between the original anime and the new one, so I highly suggest continuing on with it.

As someone who had only seen the original anime and has never read the manga I totally agree that you continue with it as this retains the same feelings FMA gave me originally with what is now an almost entirely new storyline outside of mostly featuring the same cast. Giddy nerd boy feelings all over again!

Kind of looked like an older version of Tucker, but if I recall Scar fucked him up this time around. Still, not like a little freaky Alchemy couldn't revive him (in a twisted state, even). Guess we'll see.

as a cover up to this, the new greed does not have the memories of the past greed, so for one he probably doesn't even know greed #1 got fucking owned cause of that. that being said, greed #2 is definately a better fighter and i'm betting that greed/gramps will take down wrath, if not critically wound him.
