Great episode, just watched it. How these ratings are down, I will never understand.

Now that Ed has gone and said "Next time you cry it'll be tears of joy" or whatever he said, I have some random speculation.

I can /totally/ see Winry dying as Ed confesses his love for her at some extreme moment when she pushes him out of the way of a finishing blow. Then as she's dying, Ed reciprocates his feelings, and she dies in his arms, crying tears of joy he finally said it. With the way they killed Hughes off, I wouldn't throw it out the window, and if they did I would be HUGE pissed, but can't you see that as a possibility? Again, this is just pure speculation.

I was surprised at Euphy's, but I expected other people to die after this. Code Geass and FMA are completely different though. When the main character is following a downward spiral, you can expect people around him to die. Euphemia might have been the first important death, but it was a needed step to show Lelouch's new low. Ed on the other hand set the tone of the manga, and the way he is helping everyone around him make it less likely

I wouldn't bet million on this, but I can't imagine Winry dying. I don't know if you are up to date in the manga or not, but people are not dying. Sure, you can bring Nina and Hughes' case, but Nina was a very minor character, and Hughes was the unlucky bastard who had to die to make you fear more death.

Also, Scar is totally dying to save Winry. He has to. He killed many people, he killed Winry's parent. He is going to have to pay for his sins at some point. And if Scar saves Winry, they can't kill off winry, or the whole sacrifice just got pointless.

Trolling aside, I truly find it incredibly lame that every single character just so happens to have a soulmate already set for them. Life really isn't that easy, and FMA of all Anime series should know better considering the tragic shit that goes down in it. It's the only irk I have with the series/manga, but I really do enjoy it a lot.

Statistically speaking, the chance I'm replying first to a post on this board is relatively high, especially in anime related thread. Beside, deep down inside, you were probably addressing that post to people who argued with you 2 weeks ago, so it's only normal we replied first.

Out of every couples, most met their partner long time before the beginning of the show, and went through many harships together. What part about this feel unatural about this? Sure, reality is never as perfect as fiction, but shit, take any story ever told, and tell me what percent accurately depict human (males or females).

Winry isn't just waiting at home weeping about how she can't help Ed and Al, though. Sure, she would help if she could (as illustrated by coming to fix Ed up), but it also takes guts to admit you're in over your head and just let those who are actually capable of handling the situation do what they need to.

Seems to me like the material went to great lengths in showing that while she's just a civilian and a friend to the boys, she's not without purpose. She's following in her parents' footsteps with helping people, just in a different way being an automail mechanic. Ed basically saved her from staining her hands with blood despite Scar telling her she every right to shoot him. She knows they have no home to return to, and in turn knows she (and her grandmother) are the closest thing they have to that now.

Is it possible her and Ed could hook up once everything's done? I don't see why it shouldn't be. Material even joked about Ed and Al would fight over who'd marry her at one point. Until then, all she can do is wait for them to finish their journey. She doesn't want to hurt them by risking herself to satisfy herself.



Either way, manga translation's up. Certainly a cliffhanger.

1. This wasn't an argument, it was just my opinion. You're the one who got butthurt enough to make yourself delusional and believe it was when in fact I was just venting on how lame I thought these infantile spoonfed relationships were throughout the Manga. (which I am fully caught up on)

2. The person above you had the same weak harem comeback, very disappointing.

3. Am I wrong about the progress of the relationships? Nope, they are still beating around the bush with the same shit, even in the current Manga chapters. Considering how long they have known each other this is just utterly stupid and tedious to actually keep taking serious.
