yeah, envy's density is kinda bullshit in that, hell even his size isn't exactly consistent since I don't remember him being THAT big later on when a certain vengeful alchemist decide to rip him a new one.

It makes sense sorta. Envy doesn't transform into his real form, but leaves the body, and later Envy says he can't possess Edward because of the automail. so assumably, the giant thing with all the weight is the true form of Envy when he has possession of a body.

While I don't quite think it was directly explained, wasn't it more or less implied the failure of them to use Alchemy lied in the fact they were using the Amestrian branch instead of the Xingese? In this case, the girl's working fine is a given. Scar's is a bit more spotty since while his brother did have some Xing material he researched, he might've been going off some Amestrian stuff, too.

We're still kind of vague on the true difference between the styles. On the surface, Amestrian seems more suited for destruction while the Xingese can do healing. Yet, the Xing could also see stuff like the Father or Bradley not being human. It might suggest there are things Hohenheim knows that Father doesn't, or it's stuff he's unintentionally missed due to trying to purge himself of his sins and such. Hell, we still aren't quite sure what the end game of his is with all the Sacrifices and such.

But thinking back to Scar's brother and how he had the arm of destruction and recomposition, recalling the whole all is one, one is all blurb might suggest Father interrupted that connection with the gate. That severing could also explain the panning it did to Scar, the girl, and Hohenheim. They just connect to the gate differently, if that in itself isn't a sham Father set up with the Amestrian alchemy as a sort of wall from the true mystical power behind this magical science of sorts.

Wow this is getting really good. I've never read the manga, and I didnt get into the previous series until they was all out on DvD. But ive been watching this new one since it started and all I can say is holy shit, its so well done with the music and animation. I can't wait to see why the "father" looks like their dad and what happens to the new greed.

Shit I totally forgot about Mustang and Brady, Brady told him the story how he was made into the King, will Mustang show compassion or will he try to kill him even though the higher ups in the military know that he isnt human.

The father talked about remaking Gluttony, please please dont say that Halkeye is going to be made into the new Lust, the new opening almost looks like thats going to happen.

I started to read it, i then stopped. It is almost word for word. ^^ I will read it once the season is done.

Id much rather watch it then *reread* it, see if they left some things out then. Just me tho.

edit: even the drawings are very close. Its not dead on, it is however fairly close.(not by look but you know like effect and what not lol idk how to explain it >.< ) Go read the 1st chapter and you will see what I mean.
