"King Brattorey" naturally has to come and spoil the show when things were looking up! Pretty excited to see that and the Greed fight.

The immortality of homunculi isn't fully clear; Greed (1st version) seemed to be interested in Al because he had an immortal body. So it might imply that, though long lived, even homunculi's bodies will give out (or maybe he was just worried about being vulnerable, since his body was still 'human').
They didn't seem to get much into the ages of the homunculi, though they implied that Envy, Lust, Gluttony and Greed (v1) were hundreds of years old (I think Greed had left central over a hundred years before he was recaptured). No specific mention of Sloth. Pride was the first, so obviously he's older than the other 6.

There's also the whole King Bradley thing... they didn't really explain why he aged normally, unless my memory has failed me. It seems like Greed (ver 1) had possessed hosts in the same way he did Linn, and it looked like Wrath underwent the same process.

At any rate, I will agree... the anime is really doing this arc justice. I doubt it will disappoint.

No, how he kicked ass as the motherfucking Bradley in his prime

I mean during all his fight, he always complained about how his aging body is preventing him from doing shit he could have done in his youth.

Bradley aged normally because he's using a human vessel, probably for his sleeper agent role in Central as the face of Amestris.

Father can just regrow homunculus without human vessel, Gluttony's recreation show that on the arc where Lin get turned into Greed

Greed uses human vessels as well, and he didn't age. Some manga spoilers in the following:

    Spoiler: show
Bradley probably didn't have a philosophers stone (aka extra souls to regenerate/counter aging) at all. He said in his backstory episode that he was left with a single soul after the process they created him with (he wasn't sure if it was his own). He is also the only homunculus that can't regenerate (even Greed-Ling can), and also the only one the Xing people can't detect (I imagine they can sense the others as giant cluster of souls or something, since they sense Hohenheim the same way.)

nah, they showed a episode with backstory in which they had hundreds of young men who they were training to be fuhrer, and they tried to insert a stone in to each of the eligible candidates. Each one, other than "Bradley", died because the stone tried to take over or something like that....

I looked it up, it was Episode 26: Reunion

Another amazing episode, I absolutely loved Sig/Alex teaming up to take Sloth down, been looking forward to that scene for a long time. I know it gets said every week, but this manga/anime always manages to make each episode/chapter so damn epic, I really wish that other manga authors would take a look at this and see how you write a gripping, compelling story with characters that people actually care about.

Bradley says IN THAT EPISODE that he only ended up with one soul, after the stone was injected into him. Something about the souls fighting/rejecting each other something something.

    Spoiler: show
I mean maybe he still had a depleted philosopher stone that contained his one soul, sort of like envy still had his at the end, but Bradley had none of the powers associated with having an auxiliary of souls like the other homunculi or hohenheim.

Greed didn't use a human vessel till Ling (I believe). The manga never suggest that his first form started as a human.

Purely speculating on evidence too, but almost all the 'normal' homunculus have those red lines and circles on them. Wrath doesn't, and neither does Greed after he fuses with Lin, so take that for what it's worth. Of course, big problem being that Pride doesn't appear to either, so maybe it means nothing.

Pride isn't a good example because

    Spoiler: show
it seems he is actually the shadow and the human form is just a shell.

The reason I assumed Greed used human vessels before Greed-Ling was because of those those "Which Greed?!?!" conversations that seemed to imply there were previous Greeds before the first one we see, but I was probably just reading too much into it.

I imagine Greed-Ling wouldn't age thou for the same reason Hohenheim doesn't.

If you're thinking about the stone they found on him after he died, that was just the stone the gold-toothed doctor had on him. After the frog-guy captured the doctor, the stone dropped, and they all tried to catch it, but King Bradley got to it first.

On the topic of the red circles/lines, Greed-Ling has them as well apparently, manga spoiler:

It definitely implies that Greed has had more than one host. In the conversion process, Greed comments as such (No one has ever excepted me).
It is unclear if Ling has immortality like the old Greed, but if he is like the old Greed he shouldn't age anymore.

Delayed, you are mixing Pride and Wrath up (Wrath is King Bradley).

Wrath was the first human based humonculus, so it's safe to assume the previous Greeds werent human based humonculus.

Lin/Greeds Oroboros symbol is on his hand, he's shown it a few times...
And they switched up who was "Wrath" in the First Anime vs the Manga/Second Anime I can see how it gets confusing.

I had to re-read it myself for clarification.

Do they say that during the Wrath explanation? The comic you showed said they would complete a human homunculus, not that it was a relatively new idea (So not definitive).
It's not that important really, though sort of interesting.

I don't see how that implies Wrath was the first human based homunculus at all.

    Spoiler: show

Greed's more implying "wouldn't a normal person say no?" than "you're the first person to accept me". http://media.onemanga.com/mangas/000...0000055/02.jpg
This one implies that Greed has never seen a human-based homunculus before, meaning he himself isn't one.

The only thing that implies is that he is the only homunculus which ages, which makes sense considering

    Spoiler: show
he's the only homunculus that can't regenerate either, which doesn't seem to have anything to do with him being human based.

Hohenheim is basically a human based homunculus, and he doesn't age. Probably because he has a shit load of souls to regenerate himself with, where as Bradley does not.
