Was there ever a concrete reason she doesn't like Roy, or is she just kind of a hard ass on her judgments and thinks he's a softy as well as competition for the throne?

Also was anyone hoping for a little more "change of heart" when Alex repeatedly saved her ass against Sloth? She's such a bitch of a sister, lol. Still love her character, fairly unique and still holds some of the most shocking/badass/brutal scenes in the series. Killing Raven was so epic, and shooting that guy in the head in central... she's a pretty good "fuck yeah" character to me.

I liked Pride surfing in on his shadows, and forming a transmutation circle with them too.

Mustang doesn't need a Transmutation Circle anymore... There are like 5 very powerful Alchemists in that room right now. Any or all of them could make a huge barrier and let Mustang just glass the entire room. In fact, if they made it out of mud and sand, his heat would reinforce it (basically turn it into Ceramic or Glass).

Granted, Mustang himself would be toast too, but he's the type to throw away his life in a Noble Sacrifice anyway.

Uh no he isn't, his plan is to rule the country, he can't be the self sacrifice type. He's by no means a coward and he'll fight even if he is in mortal danger but that's in situations when he doesn't have other options and it's do or die.

He was about a second away from doing the Human Transmutation voluntarily just to save Hawkeye. If you think he wouldn't toast himself if he had the chance to save the entire country, I believe you are sorely mistaken.

This makes sense though. Maybe he can do it in some way where he won't take a lethal amount of heat. In any case, I'm still predicting some extremely broad attack from Mustang while the others duck and cover via Alchemy. Most likely Hohenheim will figure out some way to subdue Father or steal his souls or something, and we saw that Pride was a hair away from turning to dust already.

Actually, he is the self sacrifice type, his reason to be on top is to protect those below him, also if you remember during the flashback to Ishval, Ed mentioned how if the whole military government ideal is eliminated, everyone that is involved in the Ishvalan massacre would be considered as war criminal by the new government, Hawkeye replied by saying they understand that, and that Roy would likely choose to carry the burden of the blame on his own.

Not to mention that the 500 or so cenz promise Ed and Roy made implied that after Roy takes over, he intend to eventually limit and relinquish his power by creating a democratic government rather than ruling as a dictator.

Is there a reason all the TMD subs I download have the whole episode very blurry? Am I doing something wrong? I don't have the problem with eclipse subs and this started up only a few episodes back. Just getting impatient at waiting for Eclipse.

Pride is the shadow with the eyes/teeth. The human form that's falling apart is a shell of sorts, which he isn't capable of regenerating for whatever reason.

Try this, in MPC: View > Options > Playback > Output > Under Direct Show Output, select : EVR Custom Pres.

Let's work under the assumption that everyone knows human transmutation doesn't work and that the only way to heal someone through alchemy has nothing to do with bringing them back to life anyway, that coupled with the fact that he knew riza would never forgive him if he did it, he wasn't going to voluntarily perform the transmutation regardless of how dire the situation looked. I'm not saying roy is opportunistic or cowardly, I'm saying that he's not the type to flat out throw his life away for no practical purpose.
