Just picked up the season 1 blue ray set, the English dub don't really bother me. The only voices I dont really care for at this time is Scar and Kimblee. Glad they kept Armstrong and most the others the same from the first anime.

Also the blue ray also has the JP dub if you don't like the English version.

I'm guessing it was sometime when he was up north and was researching his brothers journals. They never really said when he did it from what I remember. The reason for waiting to break it out is pretty obvious. He was about to die, and hadn't really been in any crazy fights before it where he had to. He always opposed the idea of reconstruction, thought it was sacreligious or whatever. Goes to show you what people will do and how beliefs change, especially if you're in a near death experience.
