I've already read the manga and finished the series but seeing Al sacrifice his soul to bring back Ed's arm was a tearjerker man, such a great series ; ;

holy fuck holy fuck holy fuuuuuuck they totally went gurren lagann without needing robots or galaxies in space and I was on the fucking edge of my seat the entire last half of the episode. I think I'll be entirely content to wait until next week for another episode because I'm probably going to watch 62 another 6 or 7 times.

Judging by the previews for next week, almost seems like 64 will be solely about everything the goes on after. Actually most interested in that just in case they sneak in things the manga didn't.

This last episode was around 85 pages of manga (ch106 page 51/68 to ch107 page 68/68 including filler pages) and ended at the final page of the second to last chapter. There are 100-105 pages in the final chapter left to cover.

Someone posted earlier that the series ends on July 4, which would be two more weeks. If that's true, we should get a nice epilogue which the series really deserves. I hate it when they get cut short.

Perfect. I don't think anyone that hasn't read the manga will be disappointed by the ending. It's great that they'll be able to take their time with the epilogue. I can't wait to see it animated.
