I'm not saying filler can't be good, but because it's usually something short and forced that doesn't really add to the overall story, I'm generally not thrilled about it in concept. With that said, personally I've liked the original anime series, the movie and Brotherhood, but I think it's more due to just really loving the characters and the universe they live in.

I'm kind of on this same page, I'm not really looking for a new crisis to appear and would totally watch something that just expanded on what all these awesome characters are up to. Even a short OVA series covering Xing and Ling would be something I'd watch.

If they spent an hour and a half covering the pictures in the last couple pages, that would work, anything else would be pretty fucking stupid I think.

But literally what the fuck would he do? This isnt a loaded question. If your answer is balance a beach ball on his head then that's a fucking answer, I don't care about how little you care. This isnt a question about dragging the series along, I'm asking about what utility he would serve in any milking spinoffs. If they were about al that would be fine.
You seem to be retarded, so I'll try and spell this out for you.
They would have him do whatever they wanted. They can give him his powers back, he could be a cheerleader, he could be a martial arts expert, he could pilot a gundam.
Are you wanting me to time travel to the future where the movie already exists, so I can watch it and come back to tell you what Ed did? Because that's the only way your going to find an answer to your retarded ass question that I've already answered 3 times.

Now please shut up and go away.

I'd like to see a movie take place during the Ishvalan war. Though I guess that would be hard because outgunned and outmatched civilians don't exactly make for interesting antagonists. And actually, I'd prefer a series of OVA's to a movie. That way they could just cover stuff that happened without the need for a lead super bad guy mastermind.

More story line about wrath as he's the Furer(Furur? however you fkn spell it). Would make for an interesting OVA series.

You didn't answer it until now, you just got all coy about how series get milked (ignoring that some of the better series in recent years have done no such thing) then ignored a rather simple question about the function ed would serve instead of just going down the road with al or following ling or any number or roads that the next episode opens up. I'm not going to go into how dumb your response is, i'm pointing out that being a fucking douche instead of answering the question is not answering the fucking question. And I'll stay where I please.

Great episode. Not much else to say. FMA:B has been hands down one of my all time favorite shows.

Well, it would fuck with the continuity too much, but I really wanna see a FMA that is much more heavily dependent upon Alchemy and more creative in it's use. I made a comment in this thread ages ago about how they weren't nearly as creative as they could be, and I stand by it still.

I suppose they could make a continuation in the current FMA world, but Ed wouldn't be the main Alchemist. Perhaps he could be something of a sage or alchemy scholar and the main protagonist could be someone completely new.

They couldn't make it a story set in the past using the current cast cause then people would be asking why the hell they didn't use the techniques against Father etc. We don't want a Bleach-esque filler arch here.

After watching this episode and the final scene with Hohenheim and the flashes of his life we saw already, all I can think is how amazing FMA:B could have been just as a story revolving solely around him. I mean he was eluded to as the man who brought alchemy to the world, or at least one of the two countries that we saw a form of alchemy from. He must have had some amazing adventures in the centuries of his life, and yet we'll never know.

I think that is what sets FMA apart from other anime currently, the fact that after watching an episode with a side character, you feel like you want to know everything there is about them. No character in FMA ever feels one dimensional, they all have complex back stories to make them feel amazingly real to the audience.

That's what I thought too. My favorite scenes in B were the ones centered around him.

He would've made a great main character imo. Ed (shortness jokes and hotheaded attitude are irritating) and Al (with his VA that is beyond annoying at this point) just don't compare sadly.

Yea, because being a member of any forum earlier than someone else gives you the rights to act this way or another way. No one gives a shit honestly, and if you do kill yourself.

And I dont care what you two are arguing about, I'm not siding with anyone.

Edit: In before, "I have 10k+ posts, I'm better than you." Again, no one gives a shit.

I personally like to be in the boat of "post count =/= intelligence."
However, I'm also in the boat of "stupid people are stupid" and "arguing with the mentally disabled is mean spirited" so I'm just going to stop this fruitless topic.

I hope not too much of the next episode doesn't focus too much on the chimeras. I wasn't ever too fond of them and hope we get to see more of Ling.

    lol @ bickering

Movie or no movie this series was great, FMA is great, everything about it is splendoriffic and awesome and I want to have Izumi's babies, I would take a movie about Izumi personally, that would be the real shit yo, forget Ed and Al they already had 2 damn full series and a movie, they can sit out for the minor characters next time of whom are generally equally loved depending on the character.

But seriously I'm curious what the last ep will be like considering I haven't read the manga past a little before the middle. I guess just tying up loose ends and everyone lives happily ever after, which will be a nice change from the constant combat and strained emotions.
