All that chapter did was remind me of the hole FMA left in my heart once it finished.
Not really but it was a nice chapter nonetheless. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy and shit.
So I guess the series is about done with the dub on [AS]. I just watched the episode where Mustang takes down Envy. I wondering, does anyone have any .gifs of Mustang being a badass and obliterating shit?
God damnit, dude.
lol
About to start brotherhood up. I've seen all the old anime + movie and a few scattered episodes of the english version of brotherhood when I was up late a few saturdays.
Looks like I can watch it all on hulu, but I didn't see if it was in JP or english. Which version do I want? I'll probably be watching with headphones either way while at work. Should I just Manga it instead?
Honestly, Brotherhood follows the manga almost perfectly. The first 12 episodes or so are kind of sped up in story progression though since the first series already covered the early part of the story really well, and since you saw that already, you won't really need to read the manga to see anything you've missed out on. This is one of the few shows I will say this for, but English or Japanese doesn't matter too much, the dubbing is actually good.
I'd go with this sub group here, high quality torrents:

Seconding the Eclipse subs route. FMA historically has a good dub though (at least the first series did, assume the same is true for 2nd) and I usually despise how dubs sound. I still prefer the original though, myself. Manga is great too but I think seeing the fights and stuff actually in action is more fun than reading them.
I'll start downloading them soon, gonna look around for a package of all eps first.
Just agreeing with the group, almost worth watching both because of how good each versions VAs are.
Is there a general order to watching the entirety of the series? I kinda just happened across FMA on Netflix, and three days later I kinda marathon'd the first series. Hungry for more.
Not really, watching the way they were released is probably what most do. first series > movie > brotherhood is the usual order, but the 2 series stand by themselves.
I'd say watching the first series is better to start with just because you get to see the first part fully fleshed out that way. As many people have already said, the second series rushes through the first few episodes to get to the new material, and while I don't think it was a bad decision, I think going in with no FMA experience and having those episodes rushed would detract from the experience. Specifically..
Do not click the spoiler if you haven't seen all of either FMA series.
Spoiler: show
I just realized... Why is this thread called FMA 2? It is not a sequel, and it doesn't have a two in the title!
Yea I saw this and expected it to be an announcement about a new sequel and got kinda excited.
But yea, definitely watch the original series. While it's not as good as Brotherhood, that's mostly cause Brotherhood is amazing, and the original series itself is good and enjoyable.
4 more weeks(ep 60 Saturday) for the dub on AS. If there is one thing Funi has done right, it's the voices for FMA:B.
next to cowboy BB Id place FMA second in Voice Overs.*
*did not watch brotherhoods VO, based off the first one.
