To the people talking about losing your token/etc

The way I read this is:

If you lose it, you can call them and they'll deactivate the security.

However:

They say if you deactivate it once, you can never re-activate it again? So if you lose it you're out of luck and can never get a new one?

Unless they mean that you can never re-activate only if you unactivate it yourself, but if that were the case, couldn't everyone just call and pretend to have lost it instead of de-activating themselves?

I don't really get the point of not allowing you to re-activate it :/

I'd assume that there must be some way to reactivate because it wouldn't make sense otherwise. What I'm thinking is that if you lose it, they'll make you buy a new one to make sure someone didn't find a lost token somewhere and try to use it?

Did anyone notice the fact that you can (dunno if you have to) click 'Use one-time password system' in POL viewer to start up the 1time password for it?

Doesn't this technically mean that you can have the security token and use it when you want to, but also disable it temporarily to let others use your account if you wish?

You can remove your Square Enix security token from your account using the Square Enix Account Management System, but once you have done so, you will never be able to use it again.

Yeah, that's the case. Don't understand why people make a big deal out of this.
Token will be unusable(not the entire security sytem) If you remove it from SEAMS, and you'll have to buy a new one. You are not deactivating the "security". You are basically trashing the token.

That has to be what it means since it says you can never take your POL account off your SE account. Same as if you lose or break your token, either way it will get deactivated the same. In that case, yes, you'd probably have to buy a new one.

Sooooo...
The wording sounds like it makes you use it automatically instead of letting you choose whether to use one or not. But clearly in this screenshot you can toggle it on or off.

The wording sounds like it makes you use it automatically instead of letting you choose whether to use one or not. But clearly in this screenshot you can toggle it on or off.

Meaning, you can link your POL account to your SE account regardless of if you buy a token or not. If you buy a token and activate it, you must enable that feature in the options otherwise you won't be able to login.

The object of that phrase was the token, not the extra security.

I swear they must not teach English in middle school anymore.

As i wrote in the other thread, those services are expensive, so you will pay the 9.99$, the fee of the PO box service and the shipping fee for forwarding the package to your home.

i dunno about your country
but my country charge me 5USD for small package less than 1 kg

This probably won't be allowed, but I'm hoping the same POL ID can be linked to multiple SE accounts, so you can still use your friend's account, but with your own token, and they can still use their own, with their token.

Besides the one-time password, it looks like you need to have a SE account password for logging in as well. So, I think the only way for you to link to multiple SE accounts is to have the same password on all of those SE accounts. Not so safe...unless you really really trust that person and vice versa. I would be curious to see how much information we need to give to SE when we sign up for the account. ;x
