Downtempo Electronica Fans

Hey all! Making this thread to have people share their favorite downtempo-type electronica artists. Songs you can really go home to, kick off the shoes and relax.

Some of my favorites are:

Lemongrass - Huge French group that has many albums- Checkout their Time Tunnel Retrospective album (on iTunes).

Faro - new artist that works with very beautiful lounge type music that has the benefit of a story feel to it. Great artist, can get the album on iTunes

Ulrich Schnauss - German artist born in 1977. Has 3 studio albums. Take a listen to "Knuddelmaus" in the "Far Away Trains Passing By" album to see what he has to offer. Pure Genius.

BT - This guy's album called "This Binary Universe" is probably one of the most revolutionary albums on the down-tempo electronica market. The depth to which he creates his music seems as if it can only be made by a god. He is in his own league. Be sure to listen to it in surround sound system in the highest quality file, or CD.

I wouldn't really call BT "downtempo" or maybe I'm just used to all of his trance/house stuff..

Here's some of my favorites:

Global Communication - my all-time favorite in this genre, hands down. 76:14 and Pentamerous Metamorphasis are amazing, Remotion is also very good. The first two are must have imo

Bola - Downtempo meets IDM, Soup is the best album

Plaid - More downtempo meets IDM, Double Figure is my favorite by them

Alpha Wave Movement - Somewhat unknown but good. Quite a few albums, nothing stands out, but all have their moments

Underworld - Similar to a BT mold with their mix of danceable music and downtempo. Banstyle/Sappy's Curry is a must get. Amazing song.

Biosphere - Good background music, not incredibly engaging. Substrata is cool.

God is an Astronaut - More rock influenced, but several songs are very mellow. Far From Refuge is a good album you should check out if you like the BT album.

Explosions in the Sky - More rock based again, but very melodic

Red Sparrows - Similar to Explosions, but better imo. At the Soundless Dawn is a classic.
