Today's POL Update / Anti-virus / POL Errors

Only issue I'm seeing when I log in is that I just started leveling SMN for the first time since 2005. I think it may indicate partial data loss in the long-term storage partition in my head.

So I just registered on the SE Account Management System, immediately went to login to POL, and it's telling me my password is incorrect. I am running firefox/noscript, so... I guess SE is expecting...something else from me now?

I'm going to put 1000 dollars that you never switched your POL account to a SE account or put your account name into POL.

I think the giant O in PlayOnline is maybe an update to the logo itself?

Other than that, everything worked fine for the setup, but I wasn't able to get into the order page in time for work.

Try logging in with the new SE account password rather than your original POL password.

To be fair, their screenshots were misleading at best, totally inaccurate at worst.

Based on that screenshot, what menu would you assume you should be working in? Add member, perhaps? Yet that's totally wrong and cost me time and a bunch of stress this morning.

I think it's because of people who will be making new accounts so they'll know wtf is this new option. It is misleading..to those who already know whats what..but it's perfect for those who are making an acccount.

Exactly. But of the people who need the instructions posted two days ago, how many would be new players? How many old? At the least, they should have marked that this was for new people, at best how about instructions/screenshots for existing players?

That happened to me as well, though I have no idea what fixed it, so I can't tell you (sorry). As part of my issue, part of the on-screen keyboard thing to enter your password was greyed out. *facepalm* I had quite a morning today.

That's exactly how it was for me, too. I think there are two different versions of the on-screen keyboard. When I entered the info into the "right" place (editing your current membership instead of in the "add a member" screen), then I had use of the full keyboard. That or it just randomly fixed itself.

I've been doing that this whole time and it still won't work, keeps saying my SE ID or Password is wrong. Can log onto the website just fine with my SE account and password but can't login to POL with it, converted it to Square-Enix account and everything. Just rejects password over and over, tried with onscreen keyboard and just typing.
