    Getting into shape

    So, I'm looking to get into better shape. I'm not overweight and I'm not looking to become some hulking musclebound wrenchbender, I just think that a little bit of toning and cardiovascular fitness would be a good thing for me. I'm a bit lost though as to where I should go (or what I should be doing) to facilitate this. I will say that I'm somewhat opposed to running around the roads (here's a picture of how bad the smog can get in Utah, plus I don't like people howling at me and shit while I'm on the side of the road,) although I'm generally open to anything else. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    If you're planning on getting a gym membership, or have access to some equipment, PM me your email address. I have a personal training cert. and I just typed out a workout plan the other day for someone in a similar situation... it would probably suit you pretty well. Pretty basic, getting in shape exercises, nothing crazy.

    Just put in your iPod with (Death Metal, Soft relaxing music, Spanish Guitar) playing and take 50 laps around your house everyday, then go play laser tag and break the no running rule. That shits a workout.

    Then just get a chair and do inclined pushups and regular situps and stuff. or get 2 chairs and do crazy balance pushups. or get 3 chairs and stack them and do crazy balance incline pushups.

    but seriously, those work. with the exception of 3 chairs.

    I'm on month 10 of working out. I've lost over 20 pounds. And went from a 135 bench to 225. And I'm not hulking. Just defined with about 10 more pounds of fat to lose.

    I do 60 situps a day and 40 press ups, not to make me a muscle machine, just to tone up. I've done this for the last year and a half though so obviously it does take time but the sooner you start working on it, even 10 a day the quicker you build up.
    You don't need any fancy equipment, just somehwere to hold your feet and an even surface.

    lol finally and exercise regime that is tried and true. I cant wait to see people doing pull ups on pipes and curling with shower towels.

    Run. Most people hate it, but running at least a few miles a week will definitely help you get cut. Also, just watch what you eat. Cutting out small things, like soda or fries, will lead to big results in the long run.

    The guy in the blue is a god damned champ. He brought what looks like a fleece shirt to wear at the, what I assume to be chilly, start line and hasn't tossed it yet. I'd rather freeze my ass off at the start than throw away clothes.

    Run in tights...and don't wear shorts over them...And yeah, you'll get a lot of people shouting at you when you run. It's usually girls, which is cool. You can also go to the YMCA and run on a treadmill. Make sure to find a treadmill located behind the elliptical machines, bitches love ellipticals and you'll have some eye candy to stare at while running.

    If you are gonna run, make sure you warm-up properly. Nothing like getting leg cramps in the middle of the run. And where short-shorts!
