Those guys are about the same age I am, if they are early 20s.

I hate my generation. My condolences to the guy, fucking sucks... I've grown up with dogs since I was a baby, and I know how much it sucks to lose your best friend to a kidney growth or arthritis... but to some punkass kids... I don't think I would've been able to control myself.

Honestly, I could not care less if it was someone famous, or just an average Joe. You just don't fuck with a man's dog.

I wish more states would adopt Texas law regarding defending your own property/family.

One would think that being able to kill someone, or seriously injure them, for intruding on private property would dissuade these types of criminal actions.

I'm sure that I'll get flamed for preservation of human life, or over-reacting to home intrusion, but personally I have the, admittedly simple, mindset that once a person goes outside the law (such as B&E or assault), a person shouldn't be punished for stopping said violation with whatever means necessary.

Simply: If you don't break the law, you don't risk having someone kill you for it.

Because by defending your own property, you're putting someone else's life at risk. You then become the dangerous person. Enjoy your sentencing if you're unfortunate enough to act like you say you will.

Or we could not play 'law' and let the authorities and/or courts decide. Do you want to be shot if you do something wrong or be tried fairly? It's no different. Honestly, killing anyone even if they're on your property is pretty stupid unless they are literally about to kill you too.

The fact that the guy chased these kids down simply for killing his dog is a little stupid. It's a dog, I don't care what you've been through you don't attempt to kill 4 men simply because they shot your favorite puppy. Have some self control. 'Hero' or not, you don't get a free pass, you need to be reasonably sane about your choices and not be a frenzied lunatic when something like that happens.

As I have seen first-hand many times, some jail time doesn't necessarily fix anyone's attitude or outlook on life. Perhaps a bullet in the shoulder or knee as they flee a scene might inhibit them from trying to be a pile of shit ever again, even if it is physically.

    Holy shit @ Brill's link

Anyone that doubts the 'hero' thing about this guy needs to read that thing again.

Sad story all around between what happened to him there and at home.

Put coffee on for them and read them a bedtime story, and let them rape you, your family, your wallet -- whatever they're after. I'd rather go to prison defending MY things than watch them taken away by some douchebag. Come break in my house and see what happens, if you make it past the dogs.

I won't be doing those things. Property means nothing to me, and if you want my wallet, my cell phone, my car, it's all yours. When you threaten those I love, I'll do enough to restrain you and keep you from doing it.

If you kill my dog, I won't chase you down other than to get a description of you/follow you til the cops can apprehend you.

Liberal pussy internet generation children nowadays I swear.

Someone comes into your home at 1 am in the morning and you're supposed to wait for them to pull their gun first before you have a right to shoot them? Give me a break.

By the way if they are in your house and you pop a few slugs in their face it's your word vs their corpse in a court on whether or not they were threatening your life or not. Shoot first ask questions later, NEVER give them a chance to retaliate.

Problem is once you kill anyone their friends and family could always retaliate on you as well even if you were in the right. Just a fucked up world we lived in all around.

If I do something wrong, I accept the fact that I'm going outside of the law, and as such am subject to whatever punishment is deemed necessary, be it by the law or the person that I am affecting by breaking the law.

So yes, I do want to be shot if I break the law, because one less criminal is less of a burden on taxpayers and less of a chance of someone else being hurt by any further actions of said criminals.

It never ceases to amaze me how people will defend criminals and come down on people who are defending themselves.

It's very simple, you don't want to get shot, don't break the law.

I missed your reply, who am I putting at risk?

    The criminal?

He put his own life at risk when he decided to BREAK THE LAW, and enter my home, that's not my problem, that's on him.

That's probably one of the most retarded comments I've ever seen you post Guartz. I understand that you have some fairly radical views on a myriad of topics, but that one was just idiotic. Of course soldiers are trained killers. But it's a completely different thing to make a blanket statement calling soldiers murderers. Yes, there have been incidents where soldiers have acted inappropriately when dealing with civilians. It's been happening since the first armed conflict in history. They go and do their jobs, which in a war, is to kill the enemy and secure the area. They don't kill because they want to, they kill because they want to go home in one piece and not a bodybag. If it was me and you and one of us isn't going to live, you can be damn sure I would be doing whatever I possibly could to make sure I was the one who walked away.

Explain something to me Guartz. What exactly do you expect a soldier to be trained in? The art of crocheting? Maybe needlepoint? Every single person in the military that serves in a combat zone knows that they may be called upon to take a human life. They are trained and prepared to do so. That hardly makes them murderers.

The fact that you continue to post everything in complete black and white is kind of frightening. You seem to have absolutely no shades of grey. But then I sit back and just wonder how much of your schtick is just an act to piss people off here.
