    Hmmm, any way to check the dialog for the FoV books by zone perhaps?

    I bet the new stuff about the once a day NM fights will clear that up quick.

    On Alla, it was mentioned by the poster that the list presented isn't necessarily augmentations, but was simply a list of stat fields in a .dat. So it could be something else entirely.

    Not that I would mind being able to augment Sniper's rings with Store TP, Errant with Refresh, and so on...
    Though it would beg the question of what sort of limitations would be in place. The sort of thing one would have hoped that SE would have included in the patch notes. Like...say we can add Auto-Refresh onto items. What's to stop us from adding it to every possible slot?

    Perhaps a logical assumption would be that the FoV NMs, perhaps even the Campaign area NMs will grant the augmentations as "drops" and only be lured out by certain item types.

    I'm assuming it will not be as broken as this. Many pieces of 'standard' gear will still beat most of the combos of augments (assuming the cap for such things is at 2). That doesn't mean that certain slots for specific jobs (Ranged for PLD is a good example) can't be extremely improved upon.

    If the augment rewards for anything not expansion bodies is random, people might be spamming this new content forever to get a decent combo on a good basic piece of gear...

    In the news where they annunced augment items there was a Byrnie, the STR+ Atk+ body. So no Darkrift, that is wrong lol

    In one of the banners they also showed a taru in a vermy, black cloak and white cloak, which CLEARLY meant it was BLM/WHM/RDM job adjustments. People still rely waaay too much on those banner pictures..

    They also posted a picture of Garuda using Hastega to cover the effect of Slow against a Spider, "in the same manner as white magic Haste".

    We were discussing the augment list and why Slow%+ is on the list. Harri over on alla posted that it could be that you can augment gear that has stats on it, like Heca Harness, and it has to plug that information back onto the gear. This could be correct as for gear like Errant Body has -7 STR, when it gets augmented, the DAT would add STR+%(-7)

    My guess is that you will only be able to augment normal quality, blank armour. You will trade it to a field manual to allow you to pop a Notorious Monster in the area. After defeating it, you return to the field manual to get your armour back with a random augment varying based on the field manual, level of the item, and slot.

    Whoever thinks augmented items its going to allow "the broken gearz" in 10k gear pieces doesnt pay attention to how SE does things.

    We might see some interesting things though.
