I don't wiki much, and was referring specifically to my order from testing.
This isn't the same as Kirin porter, because if you go through at the same time with someone else to Kirin, you won't necessarily end up with them.
If you turn in keys at the same time as someone else, you get the same general category of stuff.
I mean, it isn't like I won't be farming these for a while to get a good beak mantle.
You might be happy simply writing it off as random, I won't be until I've tested everything as best I can.
Oh, more meant that the trousers themselves I got from a locked casket that I had to put a combination for. No idea if that's important, but every shitty augment I've received has been from AH'd gear, and this good one I got from something else. *shrug*
I got an Iron subligar from a Treasure Casket that i used in a Augmenting (Xarcabard)
Got i think almost IDENTICAL Stats to that one, except CHR+1 instead of STR.
Found it:

Yeah, I'll be doing a lot of EP chaining today, so if I get another piece of gear from a locked chest I'll try augmenting that and see what happens. I doubt it makes much difference, but felt it was worth documenting.
I'm not necessarily happy with writing it off as random, I'm just admitting that as with the apparent amount of luck involved with getting items augmented with useful stats, and that being the entire premise of this update with everything being nigh impossible to force/predict what you're going to get as far as non-storyline augments go. See: ANNM rewards / FoV rewards / Chest rewards. If you're going to accept that the other 2 forms of acquiring augments are completely arbitrary and random, then you have to accept that the chest is also a piece of shit. And by the same token, if you think the chest truly has some science behind it, then you have to assume that the other 2 do as well.
That being said, if you really want to test all 3 augmenting systems, then go right ahead. That will possibly take years for marginally improving pieces that still obviously are not 100% reproducable even within the first month. I'm all for math, science and reason. But at some point logic has to come into play too.
Well, at this point it is just looking like there is a cycle related somehow to the game day.
That's why I'm trying to eliminate the other variables, job, glow order, etc.
Not random, but hard as hell to predict due to low numbers of data points, and inability to test more than once a day.
Could you do it in ProjectXI quicker? I'd think you could easily surpass the once/day stopsign while keeping the normal parameters of the game intact. I'm not sure though, I've never really messed with it, though I'm tempted sometimes out of sheer boredom.
pXI can be used to answer "what" and not "how." For example, I used it to find out what the augments you can get are without knowing anything about it. However:
He's right about this, there's no way to answer the how, since we could implement augments however we please.
Yeah, PXI just emulates what we already know. If PXI actually had SE's server code, we would know the quirk to AV already.
*not starting with his AV rant*
I WOULD be trying a run with all the variables (job, order, day farmed) except the time turned in different today... but I can't log in due to bullshit card issues.

When you only have two hours to kill it, and you can't burn it, Patience is a Luxury.
Has anyone noticed a remarkably large boost to the goblin food drop rates after completing the quest?
Doing the quest with my friends, we were getting about a 1-2% drop rate, afterwords though I've had near 100% drop rate.
Before:
Battallia - 1/21
Sauramouge - 1/15
Rolanberry - 1/50something, just gave up and lost count here
But after:
Batallia - 6/8
Sauromouge - 6/6
Rolanberry - 6/20some (rolanberry's drop rate just sucks it seems)
Finally, Viridian key wise:
Corsette: 1/6
Got my first one today, no haste though just mp+12, acc+1 eva+2, not bad I guess...

I've been scared to turn in goblin food again after farming them the first time for hours.
I just pop the gobs/kill the mandies/farm Fei'yin each day.
Not really, when I first did it (this was back before they broke the Qufim ??? for the first time) I went 1/3 Batallia, 1/3 Sauro, 1/8 Rolan. Then immediately after they fixed the ??? in Qufim I decided to help get 2 friends through the first few quests and we went like 2/40 in every single zone. -.- So yeah... sometimes you just breeze through all of the zones and sometimes it takes forever, no idea why.
Goblin food drops fucking suck for me, and I do this 5-6 times a week. I'm using TH4 too, but I really don't think it does anything for these.
