I'm trying to decide which job would serve me best for this BC.
How is his evasion? Would SAM/RNG be out of the question? I have a moderate /RNG build, but nothing spectacular (no Archery merits). I could bring BLU for Cannonball, but I've always been less than impressed with its damage without SA and songs.
Short of these two, I may just go RDM/DRK for stunnage.
Any information would be very helpful.
Thanks.
Little late, but screenshots of the bodies or augment choices?
Here's mine;
Spoiler: show
@Nyosan; SAM/RNG is a viable option, but you won't be able to melee if your PLD is tanking it from afar. Our RNG was tearing it apart and the PLD was having some trouble with hate due to constant draw-in and MP issues. I would try it, Cannonball was doing decent damage but ranged attack and WS were consistently higher.
So it is confirmed that anyone can help with the fight regardless of their mission status?
That was confirmed in the update notes.
Miscellaneous Notes
"A Crystalline Prophecy" Battlefields and Rewards
* Battlefields
To enter a battlefield as a party, only one player need fulfill the necessary conditions. Upon that player's successful entry, all other party members may then participate regardless of their registration status or current scenario progress. However, only players that meet the entry conditions may reap the resulting rewards.
Is it true you get keys when you beat the BCNMs in ACP to get some nifty rewards like the acc+ rings and MP/Int/mnd rings Im seeing JPs post?
I wonder if other players can get them too even if they are not on the mission. Would be major incentive for people to help others.
its assumed that we have to climb the tower again + the fight to change bodies right?
Oh well, may still be motivation enough for those who have beaten it to try again. I'm just worried what happens with other expansion missions will happen to this. If you miss the initial rush you'll be stuck finding help for days, because people already beat it or don't have it.
Since not everyone has purchased it I'm worried the risk of this will be greater than the main expansions like Cop, ToAU, and WoTG (Which I still have trouble getting help with).
I have only done the first WotG mission due to the fact I hate how SE will release missions piecemeal at a time, where you progress, hit a dead end and have to wait three months for the next part, I much prefer to take it in all in one shot while the story is still fresh in my head.
From what little I have seen of the various missions and quests the do seem cute, and a tad more imaginative then say, RotZ.
My only complaint with WotG missions is: while it's really neat that the three nation questlines interact with the primary missions, they don't mingle with each other at all. I've hoped for quests/missions for one nation that conflict with the quests/missions of another since I started FFXI, and was really hoping we'd see that in Wings. That, and if it really is "almost over", I'll be rather pissed. Looking at this from an author's standpoint, this story is like... at the halfway point at best.
These mini expansions remind me of a movie for a popular anime or something.
I can tell you that there is 1 MAYBE 2 more expansions to windy quest line, tops.
Yes I traded in my keys at the end and I got 1 Darksteel Ore, Diamond Earring augmented w/ INT/AGI +1 and a Angel's Ring which had chr+4 enmity-1. I wonder if you can repeat the bcnms to get more keys after you beat the storyline. It makes me wonder what that key could have given me from feiyin.
This key stuff has me a little confused, do you get them per default upon win, or do they require doing certain special battles/meeting special requirements?
(if it's made perfectly obvious during the scenes just say so, I'm just worried about missing stuff that can't be done once you're past specific points in the quest/mission line)
Since this is repairing, anyone want a post a little bit further step by step on the Fei'Yin part of this, I'm just curious how many things you have to click for entry, etc, and the pattern laid out in full. Going in with a plan sounds better then aimlessly wandering guesswork between all that space.
Im still a little confused how you handle the Fei'Yin BCNM since it seems you cant sleepga the mobs. Does the PLD just super tank as every zergs eachone down 1 by 1?
And what is the order of mobs you kill in that one?
