1/2; slow and steady wins the race. Really hated the expansion until winning this, felt pretty good actually.

Take it nice and slow, make dopplegangers a priority, and it's easy. The most important people are the RDM stunning ga III and PLD who never ever stops running. It's continuous draw in, just keep running and provoking. Don't even SW on RNG, just RA it down, SW adds, and occasionally WS.
Went war/mnk/drk/rdm/whm/sam and lost at 30%. That 70% took about 25 seconds to take off, was just a casually throw together zerg frontline too, didn't bother sleeping TP or waiting on shikki or anything, as we expected to lose badly and were just experimenting. I'd wager that a heavy zerg frontline with 2 rdm/drks and a bard could pull off the win in 45~ seconds.
After so many stuns it becomes immune. Around 40% it started resisting stuns, 30% was unstunable.
Oh, that sucks. We're trying pld+brd+rdm+smn+smn+smn tomorrow!

So, someone I know beat it and got Fast Cast and Macc for their WHM and RDM when they have a SMN, NIN, and DNC as well......

So, today I completed "Gatherer of Light I & II" and traded in my Amber Key for a piece of crap HiPotion...
Then, knowing I was going to bed soon and not able to complete the Qu'Bia Arena fight, I did the Fei'Yin afterglow gathering part and picked Azure Key instead of the Mark of Seed. I traded it in for a shitty augmented Beak Mantle.
I just went back to the goblin in Port Jeuno and tried to trade him my goblin food key items for a Viridian Key... he asks if I'm sure, implying my key items were still good. I say yeah. He says "whoah whoah, give me some time to sort out what you just sold me."
The hell? Can you only receive one bonus ACP key per earth day? (bonus, as in, keys that aren't unavoidable rewards from the missions like amber/ivory/etc) I was about to go get some Seedspalls for a Crimson Key as well if the competition wasn't harsh before I sleep, but not if it's going to be a bust like Viridian.
edit::: thinking a bit more about it, I guess it makes sense. I guess you have to pick one use for your mission-related items per earth day. Either trade your seedspalls in to the ??? in Qufim or trade them in for a Crimson Key. Either trade your goblin foods in for a Viridian Key or use them to pop the NMs and Mandragoras. Those are the two things I did today, so that would explain why I can't get keys for them yet. So it looks like you can't complete a mission and get the key from it in the same day, even if you do the storyline part first. Oh wells.

From Amber key.
Went in and cleared today from start to finish. 5-6 hours total.
We went 1/1 on the Seed Crystal fight. Party build was PLD/RDM, SMN/DRK, BLM/RDM, WHM/SCH, RDM/BLM, RNG/NIN.
No one was allowed to stay front line. The PLD held hate marvelously (first time I have played with him) and would run back out of range as soon as he was drawn in. The RNG and SMN were primary form of damage. BLM was assigned to pick off copies (Tier 2 took off at least 80% worth of health). RDM was auxiliary support (reflecting on this, have the RDM go /DRK for primary stun and have BLM play auxiliary stun, primarily used on Tier 3 -ga). WHM was primary support.
Overall it's an endurance fight. It's not something you can flat out zerg, or else expect to be assraped. And PLD/RDM worked like a damn champ.
Friend of mine got Ruby Earring with RATK+4 STR +1 on it. -_-

If there is any advice good in this thread this has to be one of them. RNG SMN COR... pretty much anything with ranged attack.. even a BLU is decent while the PLD/RDM alexander style tanks this.
I am about to go in with a PLD/RDM DRK RNG BLU BRD and me on WHM/SCH... what we plan to do is have the PLD go in and tank at distance, while RNG and BLU ranged attack it up... ill devo the BLU if he gets low but with double ballad it should last awhile. The DRK would be for stuns in the beginning as well as doppleganger control.
I'll post back in a few and let everyone know how it goes.
EDIT: i agree that nobody should stay front line due to AOE charm and major damage knockbacks.

We re-entered with our 2 hours down so that he couldnt reset them, had them at 20 minutes left and took it slow so we could finish with a burn. Overall worked very well and nobody died until the very last percent. Good Luck everyone

I was running west at every draw in, everyone else tucked in NW corner, out of SoJ range.
Told the Whm not to curespam the Rng when he got drawn in so I could (he's a good hate tool, takes more dmg than I do).
I'd Dispel/re-Phalanx any time it -ga's, or I catch a TP move attempt at the right time, otherwise just spam Flash/Cure myself/the Rng. Blu was on clone duty. Blm stunning.
Don't think I got to use any of my JA's, still a piece of cake.

RNG/NIN
WHM/SCH
RDM/DRK (was in charge of stuns for agas)
SAM/RNG x2 (neither had gear dedicated to it so may not have been best gear)
Won in 24 mins. Rdm stun was resisted either 2 or 3 times during aga. Strat was just run in and get hate while rng & sams shot from out of AOE range. They stayed at top of ramp with mages and far as I could tell never got hit by AOEs. Rng would save Barrage for adds and would pull them ASAP on spawn. Only got charmed once and would run towards back indentation to keep 16+ distance. Whm and Rdm tried their best to time refresh and cures as best they could at time I'd get drawn in so that they'd stay out of aoe range. No deaths HP only dipped below 800 once. Seems that ranged dmg is best choice here be it via pets (smn, bst), or ranged attacks (Rngs, cors, blus). Those 3 resisted agas might be a problem w/o aegis or mdb build but if no adds hitting you to fuck up SS recast, should be ok. Confirming no Seed of judgement til below 50%, although it started spawning adds a lot more towards end. Towards end was only time we'd have 2 adds up at same time. Just my 2 cents.
Sidenote: Body looks good.
