    I'm pretty impressed with your test idea on the SS.

    If the damage potency bonus is actually huge, then yeah, it's even better. I haven't seen anyone able to test it so far. It's a pain in the ass to test.

    [EDIT]Shit, double post, my bad.
    Or use it if a mob Sleepgas your group?

    Except it's self-cast only. So, you could if you wanted to run in, or if you had Sublimation up and just happened to be in the same area as everyone else and got hit with a sleepga, sure.

    Curaga I think is quicker cast than Cura. I could be mistaken, but Cura seemed pretty slow.

    Cureskin Part II

    I did some more testing with different potency amounts, just to be sure:

    Cure amount :: HP after Martyr :: Skin amount

    (no potency)
    Cur4 [390] :: 993 :: 92
    Cur4 [390] :: 995 :: 94 *see below
    Cur5 [640] :: 1057 :: 156

    (+12% potency)
    Cur4 [436] :: 996 :: 95
    Cur5 [721] :: 1058 :: 157

    (+27% potency)
    Cur4 [495] :: 998 :: 97
    Cur5 [812] :: 1057 :: 156

    So it looks like it was just a tick (or a few) of sublimation making it vary.

    *for one of my Cure IV's, I used Devotion before the cure so that the cure landed for more than 0-2hp -- it hit for 301, but this didn't seem to change the skin amount.

    Just wanted to point out one of the quotes in the OP is incorrect. You do not have to take damage with Afflatus Misery active to remove effects from party members. The only restrictions my group noticed while testing this was that the effect that you want to remove has to be on the WHM casting Esuna, and Afflatus Misery must be active in order for Esuna to remove effects normally removed by Erase.

    It does not require any damage to be taken for Misery to remove Erase-type debuffs, like Burn/Rasp/Choke. Just the JA active.

    Afflatus Misery Auspice ACC testing

    This is a quick test. I went to Valkurm and put on a buncha ACC gear as WHM75/MNK37, with Trainee Knife. I had 68dex and +40acc from gear. So total with zero skill should be 74.

    I checked several crabs nearby, all were "high def" (@74acc)

    With +2 acc (@76acc) all three nearby were "low eva, high def"
    EDIT: I did have to change gear a little to find this, I didn't magically start at the perfect point

    So, I Misery/Auspice'd and started swinging @74acc. As soon as I missed, I spun around and checked him.

    "high def" (no change!)

    Whatever the ACC bonus is, either I'm doing it wrong, or it works some weird way. What am I doing wrong? I really wanna test this. :/

    It says "if you miss on the first hit", not "on the first hit you miss" in the description as far as I can remember.

    I remember seeing something like that, but I guess I thought it meant "first hit" the same way Enlight does, that DA and Prudence/Kraken and Dual Wield, etc, don't "count" as first hit.

    But, if this is true, would I just recast Auspice every time, until I miss the first swing after casting? O.o

    I'm guessing it works just like the enlight in where you miss your mainhand swing and get the acc bonus. Thanks SE for being as vague as humanly possible again. I'm very very very interested in the accuracy testing obviously. Let me know what you end up finding.

    Also, removing the thing about having to take damage to Esuna.

    Yeah ... but if that's the case, why didn't I see a change?

    Either I did something wrong or the ACC bonus doesn't change "low evasion / high evasion" reading, 'cause it didn't change my reading in the log.

    I don't get it...! How am I supposed to test this?

    If we can't tell when it's on, then we can't tell the duration or amount, so even like... parsing it, wouldn't be precise at all, because we'd never know if it's 30 seconds / +10 acc, or like 5 seconds +30 acc. You know what I mean?

    Yea I know what you mean. I had to go through the same shit when I did Randgrith testing. I had to WS one mob, then check another, then count/check the same mob every 1 second to see how long the accuracy bonus lasted and how much it gave. If I can find a couple people to go out to Al'Taieu with me again, I can test it pretty quickly. It's just a huge pain in the ass to test when you have one or two people because you can't focus on just testing, you have to focus on staying alive and shit too. I think you have the right idea though.

    Change accuracy gear until the mob switches from High Defense to High Defense/High Evasion. Then melee it and after you miss, check the mob a few times to make sure you got the bonus. From there, you can continue to add accuracy gear until you get it back to High Defense and you should have a total.

    But .... but that's exactly what I did ... !

    I got to the point where adding +2 ACC gear changes the message.

    Yet, with Misery/Auspice up, when I MISSED and I immediately spun around and /checked ... there was no change.

    I was farming Peiste (lost cause) last night with myself as PUP/WAR, 75 WHM, and 75 TH3 THF.

    WHM has Afflatus: Solace up and cure bomed me whenever I needed, then he would cast Holy to finish the mob off.

    His Holys were landing for 750+ each time, highest being 820. I did not get screenshots b/c I had dmg filters on, but I could tell the damage from Holy was significant just from seeing the mob's HP% go from 5-7% to 0% in an instant.

    Aye. In the testing my group did, the benefit from Solace seemed to cap at 2,000 HP Cured at 75. Which is extremely low. It also seemed to be a curve with radically decreasing returns up to the cap past a certain point.

    Holy with no Solace Benefit: 50
    Holy with 1000 Solace: 200
    Holy with 1500 Solace: 600
    Holy with 2000 or higher Solace: 650~

    650 was the highest I got with my gear, though I admit I had absolutely 0 MAB on me and NQ staff. Another WHM in the group subbed BLM, brought MAB stuff, and was hitting 900+ Holies with a capped Solace.

    Honestly, 2k seems incredibly low for such a huge bonus. A single large Curaga will fill it up, or a couple Cure Vs and change. Resist rates are still untested on anything that matters, though. As is I can get about 294 Divine. If the resist scaling is the same as elemental magic, we're looking at possibly an Inaccurate nuke with an instant cast time, and low MP consumption per dmg dealt. Whm/Sch popping Penance could potentially put out an 800dmg nuke for 50MP and 1sec cast time. Hot.

    I did a 750 holy on the Young Behemoth yesterday (sandoria BC) with 64+23mnd, elemental seal and nq light staff. For an instant spell that cost 100mp, I would say it's pretty awesome.

    Solace is a great ability to have in most fight. It's probably what will be on 95% of the time. With stoneskin, barspell enhancement (gonna try to figure that one out after the maint) and powerful holy nuke, I don't see many reason to go with misery.

    Sure, enlight might be useful in a few "physical imune" situation, and esuna has its use, but generally, I think erasing your target will be faster and more efficient than staying in AoE range only to erase melee.

    I agree (outside of me meeling, in which case I'm going to have Misery up 24/7 haha).

    Besides, if you get hit with an AoE and want to Esuna, you can just pop Misery and cast Esuna, then go back to Solace.

    Well damn, I guess I need a MAB set now. Is the Banish boost significant? It's certainly alot more difficult to use. Also curious on the relation between MAB and MND. 2 MND = 1 MAB?

    Did anyone have luck figuring out the accuracy boost from Misery + Auspice?

    A little anecdotal evidence because I do not have the patience for more rigorous testing:

    I have been white mage for a few fafnirs since the update. Initially, I used Affl. Solace. The stoneskin is nice especially since it works on people outside of your party. It prevents a little damage here and there which is nice, but in my opinion it's not really too noticeable on your mp pool.

    Yesterday, I decided to full time Affl. Misery. I did not use stoneskin and intentionally ate hurricane wing for the entire fight. After wing I would cast esuna followed by cura. Cura was consistently restoring between 180 and 190 for the entire party for 30 mp.
    Esuna + Cura is less mp than Curaga alone, it cures more HP, and can blindna and entire party with one spell for 24 MP without using DS. I had shellraV + Baraera up and had ballad + refresh, obviously if you are relying on sublimation for mp this won't work too well. The only draw back I can see here is the 30 second recast time on cura, but celerity can help with this. If you're not sub sch then you might have to kick it old school a few times if you get a wing happy Fafnir.
