Composure Testing

Quite useful for parties, but it's awsome for melee + RDM duo, when you stick to one refresh and one haste (in example). For haste/refresh rotation in party it still great, even though recasts are bit longer.

10 min Haste is pure win, but 8 min refresh is like LOL

for lol's i cast mages ballrd while using bard sub but there was no longer duration with composure. works only on main rdm spells rather than spells/songs u can get via subs i assume ?

Tiny mandragora.

3 people with stoneskin.

First person pulls the mob, both testers cure once.

Use Composure, mob should turn to you.

Wait a minute or so to be sure the VE is gone.

Other person counts the Cures for 0 Hp it takes to turn it back to them.

Count the cures, that should be roughly the CE amount.

For a VE test... uh.

Same pull scenario, have a tester with voke generate that same CE amount, voke and composure at as close to the same time as possible, see which way it ends up facing immediately afterwards.

To test VE amount, repeat the above test without voking, but have the non-composure tester generate 1 more CE than the other.

Pop composure, record how long til it turns back.

I do have to say, I was expecting this to be pretty garbage, like doubled recast timers and double duration, but it's honestly pretty fucking awesome, and I'm really pleased with it.

375 HP from Regen and 720 from Regen II (/sch) is ridiculous, too. :D

Still useful if you can skip yourself out of the refresh cycle 3 times, saves a bunch of mp.

I didnt get to try this new ability much because it was 2 AM when the update was done. I had to cuff myself @ my work chair because without them, i would flee home and buff myself all day long... too hawt ab

So you save the cost of 2.66 refresh and 2.22 haste every 10 minutes so ~200 Mps, like ... auto refresh.

I can confirm that Composure only works on buffs that you cast on yourself.

I'm pretty sure SE confirmed that long before the update.

It seems they want you to just give up NIN sub and start stoneskin/phalanx soloing, but they need to make Composure enhance those abilities, first. e.g. double what stoneskin, blink and phalanx absorb. Then I'll gladly drop NIN sub.

composure > refresh > haste > cancel > ??? 7.5+ mins of buffs with sj nin utsusemi etc w/o recast penalty > composure(5min recast) > refresh > haste > cancel > ???.....................> loop

If they they doubled Stoneskin/Phalanx through Composure I'd still sub /NIN and simply adjust in dealing with the recast time. 700~ Stoneskin with an additional 60 damage blocked every hit through Phalanx, and god knows what other buffs you can through on, is very broken enough to justify the recast times lol.

Seems like the recast penalty is +20% added to Fast Cast traits, which are -10%, giving you a net recast of +10% before equipment. Doesn't seem consistent with 25% after Fast Cast theory.
