Damage starts at 20, goes up by 1 per hit to 34 (with 301 Enhancing). Is per cast, not per mob.
yet another confirmation

Unless there is some extra magic accuracy component to it, this doesn't seem all that interesting for joytoy and/or dualwield . Hope there is some additional source for this though, not a lot of onyx quadavs
Mine capped at 36 damage a hit with 299 skill...
I have Hollow so I cheated![]()
I've seen it do 36 on some mob types, 34 on others.
I was whacking on a doll (no magic resist) on a neutral day.
Jeez, you made me go get another. First kill again, so it looks like a pretty common drop:

A few JP Red Mages farming Emerald Quadav's in Rolanberry(S) but nothing confirmed, and they have helpers to claim.
So someone reported doing 20 -> 34 damage Enspells with just capped Enhancing, no gear.
Same occurred at 293 and 301... could it be that Enhancing is either not a component or plateau'd so hard that it's moot?
I've always been a fan of enspells and RDM soloing, but even as such, this really blows, SE. It takes almost a full minute to reach a cap damage of, best-case scanario, somewhere in the low 40's. I can get to the low to mid 20's with regular enspell, AND it procs on my Joyeuse and offhands. With Joyeuse and /NIN, regular enspells are superior to enspell II, not counting the elemental resistance.
Speaking of which, tested the elemental weakness thing several times on some TW gobs. Forgive me if this is known already, but it was not affecting the damage dealt with my nukes whatsoever. 201 damage with Fire II before Enblizzard II proc, same damage afterward, same gear, etc etc. Might affect resists (i.e. Death Blossom) so that needs further testing but..bleh.
On the plus side, all Joyeuse-less RDM soloers who never sub NIN should be happy...
I'm curious, though not at all optimistic, as to how resist rates are on higher level mobs with these. That could turn out to be it's one saving grace. For example hitting...for example..Kirin with a Death Blossom and an Enstone II, then casting Enaero II...if you could consistently churn out 30+ enspell damage per hit that way, then awesome. But again, chances of that being the case are...probably nonexistent.
That's what we needed to know, Araius. It affects only resistance and not the mobs MDB.
Thanks for the bad news ;p
I do what I canBlame SE, not me
Going to bed/crying myself to sleep now, have fun.
Idk why you guys are only getting 34-36 dmg per hit, I have exactly 300 enhancing. Hits started out at 20 and steadily increased until 40
weird
May have to play around with it more then, see if there's another mod than the older Enspells worked with.
Got info from other wiki, went to check it out,
In Yuhtunga Jungle

In Sea Serpent Grotto
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y28...408_232805.png
other wiki also says,
Auspice drops from Yagudo Abbot in Castle Oztroja
Esuna drops from Lagoon Sahagin in Sea Serpent Grotto
Sacrifice drops from Goblin Alchemist in Kuftal Tunnel and Gustav Tunnel
Enwater II drops from Emerald Quadav in Rolanberry Fields (S)
Plus all the other RDM spells we know so far are there.
ok well, doing some test, delay has no effect on the damage (so can rule that out)
an odd thing I noticed was... if I kept my full enhancing gear on I would go up to 41 damage (saur[S] beetles) (hollow earring 290 enhancing) but if I took my enhancing gear off I would drop down to 39 damage
290 [38 damage] (hollow earring factored out of all these)
275 [36 damage]
260 [36 damage]
also to note: the damage seems to go up 2 per tier (starting damage and max damage are double so... if we just figure out the starting damage)
we're looking at
260-275 [19]
?-290-? [20]
haven't tried my full 300 build it's in storage etc.
need a lower level rdm or level sync to really test out the numbers
it looks very similiar to the normal enspell damage (before the added to double damage comes into play)
added a note I put up above but bolding it so people see (cause it sucks and it's bullshit imho)
enspell II damage calculates your enhancing skill each swing for it's damage. AKA you have to keep your enhancing skill on for max enspell damage, but if you take it off you remove acc/haste/etc gear
