Went with 2 parties:

Party1:
RDM/WHM
BLM/RDM
PLD/NIN
DRK/NIN
WHM
BRD/WHM

Party2:
WAR/NIN
SAM/WAR
RNG/WAR (-_-)
BLM/RDM
WHM
WHM

Just used the PLD to kite the NM Gnat around the rocks while the RDM/BRD/WHM helped in whatever way was needed. ES Sleepga at start, and then after wake, 2nd BLM ES sleepga'd. After that, BRD just horded. We picked one off at a time and melees took them down while BLMs nuked. Straight tanked NM Gnat after smallers were dead. Game over.

We tried it yesterday with 6 and just decided to try to supertank the gnats and Zerg the NM and not care about losing whatever not killing the lessers give you. We got it to 35% with just SAM and DRK DDing it.

That is such utter fail. If the campaign gear worked there at least, it would look like they had some grand master design for that gear from the start to make them situationally useful.

Yes, heaven forbid that Square take highly situational gear that devours inventory and expands its usefulness in other related situations. That would be about the worst thing ever.

Tried the Gummy Slug + Leeches combo after getting crappy drops in Jugner and Meriphataud and got this gem of a lootpool.
