wow I want that pole for elemental siphon XD
pole built like that would go a long way to marginalize the bahamut's staff. while you would admittedly lose out on some MP as well as the -3 perp cost for the duration of the blp, this would be a tiny bit more powerful than b staff for accuracy. i'm impressed. think if that's not even the top end of the possible augments that could be built in to this thing.
Did Eldieme and North Gustaberg last night。
Eld dropped junk and imp wootz ingot with these lame bangles.
Gustaberg dropped pure junk (Toolbag Kodo, Beastman Seal, Silver nugget, Orange au lait, Hi-Ether, and a Plat nugget) and augment item was this wand.
I think the capped fights are a big turn off because level caps have a very bad history of stigma. However, it should be noted buffs don't wear doing a capped ANNM, and really it was incredibly easy. Only dangerous part was when the NM pixie managed to cast Death on one person. The rest of the time it just spit out weak debuffs or Holy.
I have some um.. bad news.
based on filling up the chart augment tables.. and looking at patterns.. here are a few things I have concluded.. which are true only if the trend is correct.
- There are 2 weapons left to be found. Both are from the 70 cap ANNMs (Procrustes and Simorg, to be exact).
Since there are 15 ANNMs, the pattern deduction is that there will be 15 weapons based on the 15 offensive combat skills. By elimination, the only 2 weapon skills left are:
Great Sword and Throwing
seeing as I did a little quick search on wiki, and based on the level patterns of augmented drops..
this is a possible list of what we're likely gonna find for each of them:
Gswd:
Mythril Heart
Flamberge
Throwing:
Rising Sun
(side note: there is a possibility that the trend could be following with relic weapon pattern, which is 1 of each combat skill that has WS, and Shield and Horn).. so I wouldn't be surprised if a Shield appeared somewhere here either.
in which case, the likely candidates:
Gold Buckler, Tower Shield, Diamond Shield, Generals/Admiral's Shield, Hickory/Picaroons Shield.
thats the neutral part..
this is the 'sad' part.
- There is no augmented Byrnie.
Heres the pattern deduction. There are 15 ANNMs, each drop 2 pieces of eq from the main 5 visible slots. 15 x 2 = 30. 30/5 = 6. If there are an equal number of each slot-type of eq in the ANNM drop table, then there will be no augmented Byrnie (based off the POL teaser pic) because 6 augmented body pieces have been accounted for already.
However, if the system doesnt follow this trend, or if someone gave a false report (not likely), then there still may be a chance of that Byrnie...
(OR if its meant to foreshadow a future eq piece, just like how AF in promyvion during CoP trailer screens could be said to foreshadow syncdown eq lol. On a serious note, the Errant body on the mithra and the Bhuj on the galka are both accounted for, but the ele staff and the byrnie are not. They didn't say everything in that pic would be augmented, we just assumed.)
There are still 6 pieces of augmented eq to be seen. All of them should be between Lv51-70.
The breakdown is as follows
- 1 head
- 1 hands
- 2 legs
- 2 feet
Further pattern deduction could go in to shortlist which head/hands piece might drop but I wont bother to do that... i think people must think I have too much time on my hands as it is.
Unless they added in northlands when they released. Here's hoping.
i really dunno bout that. I get the feeling that northlands campaign will be very different from normal campaign... i have doubts that northlands will even be capturable at all. but only the next update will tell
even so, i think it'd be uncapped.. and if it follows this trend system, we wont get lv60 gear
So i'll admit I havent read this whole thread but just wondered if people have discussed what is the minimum setup needed to to these ANNM's and if going with less people effects the loot pool at the end? (looking to farm the battalia tiger one for wootz ingots unless there is is a better/easier source)
Seconded. Can easily be done with BLM (or RDM), PLD/NIN (or NIN/WAR), WHM/SCH, BRD (or any DD), and any DD. (Both the Tiger and the Gnat)
We used 6 but trust me when I say 6 is still too easy and I'm convinced it'd be the same result if you dropped one of the extra DDs we had.
I've done most all of the uncapped with 6(~8 if people were bored and wanted to tag along) with absolute ease. Gnats in Meriph were the only ones that were fucking retarded. We tried with 6 after watching a manaburn wipe and decided to just zerg the NM and got it to like 35% before we died, so we came back the next day with 12 and obliterated them. Pretty confident it could be done with a standard 6-person setup though. Standard being what used to be the normal EXP party until ToAU came out: RDM BLM BRD DD DD PLD.
like with BCNMs, all you really need is a setup with key jobs and a good strategy..
i've done tiger and slug @5, as well as peiste and gnats as 6.
gnats strat was a little interesting tho, involved supertanking. as usual, when dealing with sleepable adds, it would seem many of these fights can be manaburned as well.
PLD/WAR RDM/WHM WHM BLU/NIN BLU/NIN BRD
Have a PLD/WAR supertank all of them with Phalanx II support while 2 BLUs kill little ones one at time.
They hit a PLD for pathetically low damage when properly buffed.
With Refresh and Ballad support 2 BLUs will rip them apart spamming the 'big three' and Head Butt. You don't even have to worry about TP reset and Slow TP moves.
Once main one is left have WHM in Misery mode stand in aoe range so you can counter the debuff-transfer move with Esuna quickly.
i take it if supertanking is suggested the mobs spawn with no initial hate? why do you suggest pld/war for supertanking over something like pld/blu for cap defense?
Windy ANNMs are disproportionately harder than Bastok/Sandy ANNMs on the uncapped tier. lol
That Coeurl does not fuck around and neither does the Scolopendrid. (though its adds are really easy)
On the up-side, Windy seems to get easier with the lower level caps.
Scorpio isnt hard at all of you dont stop moving. If you do stop, you deserve to die, but its retarded easy to outrun hell scissors.
We haven't supertanked any of them. Lullaby lands on everything except NMs, so just have PLD occupy NM and DDs take out lessers 1 by 1. As for the Lynx being hard, that's pretty much the easiest Windy one. If you stun its' casts or even let it cast and run away from Whisker, it's.
