Go to Field Manual, choose an elite regime (will cost tabs)
Go to the field parchment of your relevant zone, trade it the item you want to augment.
Kill mob, get coffer with augmented item.

Not related, but I traded in a Sniper's ring in behemoth's dominion on my NIN64, thinking the NM wouldn't be too hard, and got owned.

Lol, so I guess I lost a Sniper's ring, unless there's a way to get it back.

If I had DNC sub, I would've won... considering the fact that he didn't hit that hard whatsoever, but attacked extremely fast, even when Hojo stuck.

Throughout the ACP storyline you'll get keys or the option of getting them (Which will delay your progress in the missions.). You use the keys on the Treasure Coffer in Lower Jeuno for a random item. The Ebon Key is obtained by completing the final BC.
