There has been evidence that INT doesn't affect dark magic potency but nothing suggesting that it doesn't affect dark magic accuracy, which would still make 5int superior to +2macc if we use our standard model of magic accuracy.
5int will still beat 2macc for enfeebling; best case scenario, 5INT = 5macc and worse case, 5INT = 2.5macc... either way, it'll win.
For para/slow, you're getting 2.5-5macc and potency.
Source for that? Just talking anecdotally I find that very unlikely.
Oh, I know; there were extensive tests run recently which were summarised on Kaeko's blog and a version of this has been put onto otherwiki.
Pchan recently editted the article several times and it's incredibly messy at the moment but that's the relevant line.it also shows 1 skill = 1 magic accuracy and for stats such as INT = 1 magic accuracy until total int is >targetINT+10. Each additional point of INT after that gives 0.5 magic accuracy. ... It is assumed the same goes for MND vs TargetMND and CHR vs TargetCHR.
Magic Accuracy - FFXIclopedia, the Final Fantasy XI wiki - Characters, items, jobs, and more is the link.
EDIT: The reason I doubt Pchan's answer than when dSTAT > 20 adding further STAT adds little to accuracy is that when I've been improving my RDM Bind build with basically what has been a lot of INT lately since I have Enfeebling Skill in the relevant areas, I've noticed a great increase in accuracy.
Do you have any source for this?
Considering Lodeguy modeled and collected data to like +30 dINT I find it unlikely both he and Robonosto would miss this in their data evaluation.
This is the original graph the dINT cutoff comes from...

If your int is 20 over the mob's int would you even need to worry about the 2macc on waist?
Got a nice Ruby Earring today. Int 1, Attack 5, Pet: Attack 4 RAttack4.
YAY! So I got this:

I'm so happy I finally got a good augment. My question is though: can I keep onto this, and just in case I get a new Beak Mantle that's better, replace it with the old? I.e: the casket says "Unable to obtain item, please come back after sorting your inventory." will it be the same item as before or will it change? I'm assuming someone must have some sort of experience with this, so yeah. Any response is welcomed!
PS: My body is Antares Harness, but I hate how it looks like a SH so I .dat swapped lol
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure it is.
It's only AUG/EX so I would assume you can have two or more of them, in the same way you can have 2 Shikaree Rings, 2 Aspir Knifes, etc.
Oh, thanks!
Congrats, I've been trying to get a nice Beak Mantle for ages, but no luck.
You can hold on to it and replace it if you get a better one. I've gotten multiple augmented Corsettes and I always just NPC the worse one.
The casket will only give you that message if your inventory is full. I don't know if the item will change because when I had full inventory I never saw what I was gonna get.
