If you augment signed stuff does the signature get removed?

I asked this last night on vent and was told no, but I haven't tried anything personally.

well, with usu body, hachiman feet, af+1 legs, you'd lose only 3 str 14att over he standard gear for WS. -3% haste is where it will lose to hagun.

At the beginning I was just discussing the sTP needed w/ that GK (and the difficulty for most of the ppl to get the gears listed by Starr, at least for someone like me), not the dmgs in the long run and the Rindo vs Hagun thing. Maybe you're right about it. I think the low base dmg would be more harmful but I'm not familiar with the dmg calculations yet. I'll let that to whoever wants to do it (although I'm interested in the results).

All depends on your pdif and the weapon you use. Since Y/G/K boosts attack, you end end up capping your attack at lower pdif ratios, so against higher DEF mobs, Hagun will out damage Rindo. However, if your natural pdif ratio is high (For mobs like salvage or mobs with very little defense) and you start using Rana, the higher Base damage and the fact that it is a 3 Hit WS, will cause that particular WS to surpass Gekko (Which has a 2x Attack Mod).

Futsuno has 480 Delay, this one only 450, there's the difference. that means you won't get a 5-hit just by switching Hagun to this weapon, because assuming sam75 and 5/5 sTP merits:
- With a 480 delay GK (Futsuno, Pachipachio): sTP+19 needed in gears while TPing, +16 while WSing (sTP+54 overall)
- With a 450 delay GK (Hagun, this one): sTP+40 needed in gears while TPing, and +37 while WSing (sTP+75 overall)
To achieve 5-hit you should get the gear listed by Starr while wielding that GK.

edit: that GK could be fun in Campaing while wearing that Rose strap (sTP+20) to get 5-hit

I dont think you have to have absolutely terrible gear for the rindomaru that was pictured earlier to have a 5 hit setup, even with the 450 delay. Feel free to check my math or tell me its not viable, cuz i havent thought about "X hit" setups since i finished 6 hit. But, with capped store TP merits on a 450 delay weapon you would need +39 Store TP in gear.

Brutal : 1, Rajas : 5, Usuakane Haramaki : 6, Usukane Sune Ate : 7, Rose strap : 4, White tathlum : 2 = 25 store TP in gear

which means youd need 14 on the rindomaru to get 5 hit from it with that gear setup. Which seems possible, but you also give up a few things. Strap seems like the biggest loss, tathlum would be a loss as well vs other options. But, even with the +11 rindomaru, you could use Spaghetti Carbonara ( + 6? store tp), which isnt a terrible food at all and hit 5 hit.

Seems like you could get a setup that doesn't sacrifice any haste, does sacrifice the ammo and strap slot, with a slight loss in attack from food ( if any? ) for 5 hit. But again, would it beat hagun? lol

The Rindomaru would be VERY nice if it had TP Bonus, unfortunately though... I don't think SE realizes how much the TP Bonus on Hagun effects Sam.. they keep releasing Gkt's that are sub par. Now, if you CAN get TP Bonus (which I highly doubt) on an Augmented weapon, fuck yeah I'm all for it. But the way SE thinks, they'll never release anything better than a Hagun (bar Amano and Futsuno) or Elemental staves, as much as I wish they would.

Why don't you just remove the signature by selling it to yourself on the AH?
