Heres Some actual Update TESTING of the new Magical BP Damage.
2 Magic Attack Merits
2 Merits in Heavenly Strike (300% TP so doesn't matter)
Wind-Day (No Bonuses here)
Quicksand Caves
O, and Astral Pot on the one that did 1700, the Magic Burst is WITHOUT Astral Pot, i thought they were very impressive
Edit: Magic Burst
You people are boring
It's possible to get some pet: accuracy+ rings, too, with:
Ebon Key - BGWiki
Speaking of Nirvana, is it known if anyone has finished Nirvana yet or is getting close? I love my Baha Staff, but i'm slowly working towards Nirvana. One step at a time.
For reference, this was the ANNM drop with the summoning magic skill and pet macc:
(Meriph Mountain ANNM)

what what WHAT? they are breaking what bahamut's staff gives? if the cap for skill is now 8 on staff, i might be able to get a 400 elemental siphon..Originally Posted by Emmaline, from augment listing thread
looks like its +10 max.
I've finished Tokens and Ichor but still missing 2 of the ToAU king titles (Medusa + Gulool, weren't up when we went to do them and haven't gone since >.>) and haven't started Alex yet i'm just letting gil stock up for now (6m only 84m to go!)
remember to question the bonus to elemental siphon when cutting off a -perp slot for it. the spirit will cut into your MP while you use ESiphon, so you want to make sure you have a well-timed macro for it <:3
GTFO with the trolling in the summoner thread...
As far as the mythic pole vs. Bahamuts staff I would only use poll for elemental siphon most likely, as I would still want the -perpetuation. I have neither atm, and the HQ staves seem just fine for bloodpacts.
Anyone tested any tier 2 merits on HNM's yet?
That's quite a good constistant number, I think when i look back the only reason i didn't choose MAB on body was because i only had 1 merit in it, but i don't get to merit much, i certainly might reconsider, but still wondering if i can get away with taking off my accuracy merits, since testing the body i am noticing large increases in overall damage i normally do, doing 1.4-2k on a normal baises with PC for example. even fenrir is dishing out 1.1-1.3 k Eclipse bites on random mobs i normaly only get 7-900 with. in the end mobs are dying alot faster with less BPs.
I did the math for this once comparing siphoning with Nirvana or Bahamut's Staff, and this was mainly dependant on how long you kept the avatar out, but in the shortest time possible, the MP difference is <5mp.
In this case, the difference would be more obvious. Seeing as its 3mp/tic more with Mythic Pole, but 5mp more (at base) and ~7mp more even on day+double weather... unless you're really good with quick gear swapping right before the Siphon, you're losing more MP than the extra you gain from Siphoning with +5 skill more compared to Bahamuts Staff...
In other words, the only reason why u'd use this staff for skill is either for Ward extension or for Epeen Siphon numbers that don't actually benefit you...
So, I remember a post about SMN magic burning in Mt.Zhayolm with the newly updated bloodpacts.

1400s were 0ish TP. 1700s were letting Ifrit melee for about 52sec~ after the 1st Meteor Strike.
Funnily enough, Ifrit is one of the better choices for tanking these because they like doing fire magic a lot.
I was duo-ing with a SCH for fun really. It was actually quite entertaining. However I do not recommended soloing. Duo-ing with a BLM or SCH or even another SMN probably would do you much more good (just to put that idea out there).
Bwahaha, 2k Meteor Strike~ /runs away (That one was for fun).
P.S. JA aggro for SMN sucks! ><
P.S.S. If you had 2 fully merited BPs and if the Rage BP timers weren't all linked... Summon Ifrit > Meteor Strike > Run > Release > Resummon 2nd Avatar > 2nd Merit BP > Run > Release > Ifrit > Meteor Strike ! OK, enough dreaming now.
You know i always thought Avatars should get a natrual attack/defense boost on there corresponding day i.e Firesday Ifrit would do more damage and STR boost for for instance. while on watersday he gets that decrease in his stats/attack power, this seems to be a good incetive to let players be rewarded for keeping there pets out and to actually use all of them, just one of the many ways SE could improve SMN. i think they already get sa small boost, but it's unoticable, but prime fights sure as hell do tho..
