Trading seals gives xp, gil gives double gil, and equipment gives you augmented equipment.

You can trade up to the specified amount of gil, in the West Saruta's case it said up to 200.

Far as equipment goes- I wonder if it'll allow you to trade AF?

I'd laugh if you could end up with a normally-marginal piece being made useful thanks to a fortunate augment. Or a good piece becoming gawdlike.
