Not sure if this has been mentioned or if it was included in the update notes and I just didn't see it, but they seem to have updated the layout of the Missions menu so that you can select the type of mission straight from a list rather than tabbing sideways through all the different categories. Nothing major, but a nice little touch.
No one gives a shit if Fields of Valor exists up till 75 as it has nothing to do with Campaign?
The Fortifications nerf will affect how Campaign Battles play out and will adversely affect the weekly control of areas. No ones going to want to beat on a fort if they wont be rewarded and in many battles it takes a while for monsters to reload after a unit retreats.
People will just warp after the mobs retreat and the fort levels will never go down... meaning its harder to take control of an area - less Plucking Wings / Splitting Heirs yay.
The Fort exp nerf was completely unneccessary, it pretty much kills all motivation to do offensive Campaigns now. They finally add dungeon warps but removed the main reason for using them, gogo SE.
Can you have him post this? I just did a ton of normal Slugs.so apparently it's all Ranged attacks that got fucked, friend's rng did 300 sidewinder on lesser colibiri.
I am greatly upset by the Accession nerf. Was AoE enspells really THAT overpowered? It really was one of my SCH staples, and was really one of my favorite things to do.
I'm aware that this fucks over the entire system but I guarantee that an overwhelming majority of the complaints that will come of this (including the one above my earlier post) will stem from the fact that people can no longer afk their way to 75. I've seen it firsthand, and I personally hate beating on walls...give me an actual mob to face, more xp yo.
As long as NPC units get dispatched the areas should still balance np because I know player saturation on those walls was doing fuck all to them even before this change...back when cities came under attack a lot I went out to Meriph for a solid week with a good number of other people and we just beat on walls all the time...wasn't often an NPC unit out there though. It made no significant impact on the influence. Let those NPC squads get out though, and actually fight the mobs so the NPCs can do their job, and the area is soundly won over well before the end of the week. It's almost like they want you to coordinate the battles instead of getting tunnel vision and repeating a single task. SHOCKER.
I can confirm some kind of ranged-attack nerf. I tried using ranged-type BLU magic versus too weak bees- the damage was significantly lower.
158 damage Feather Storm- used to do 400+ versus weak enemies
217 Pinecone Bomb- used to do 800+
Does Reraise still not work with Accension?
Am I crazy, or did SE mention something about boosting Stealth? For some reason, I recall reading about that recently and today whilst farming En2s, I was messing up on Monomi Casts and not seeing mobs sneak up behind me... but they never aggroed. Finally, on the way out of Ro'Maeve, I decided to see if it was true. I walked up to a Killing Weapon (EP Aggro to 75) and just stood there for a minute. I slowly inched up and it finally aggroed me at ~2.4 (wasn't moving by .1s though. It's hard to move that precise sometimes). This was as BLU75/NIN37. Anyone else notice any of this craziness?
TP Bonus per level of merit BPs fixed - lowered to 40TP from 60TP.
That's what Stealth does...sometimes you won't get aggroed. I've had the same thing happen in Ro'Maeve as NIN camping Shiki a few times.
I'm seriously hoping the SCH thing is a glitch other wise back to full time whm, ill wait till the inevitable Emergency maint to see, they always fuck up somthing.
ok thats pure bs they better fix that shit -_- Next thing they'll do is stop Accession Stoneskin because they want people to play with WHM Cure stoneskin
good question but doubtful
Edit: oh right, campaign fort being nerfed = even less reason to hit it (hated it in the first place)
