As someone who has gone to salvage everyday for 8 months and has only seen 1 pair of usu legs, this is a pretty idiotic statement.

"8 months of Salvage" is the kind of vague, time-limited statement I can't accept. Did you do Arrapago every day for 8 months? Did you do 20 runs and get lucky on a drop and then move on to another zone? In that case you'd be boosting your stats needlessly.

Even if you did a daily rotation of zones you'd still be 1/50~60 which is not a bad rate for one item in Arrapago.

If you backtrack and follow my posts you'll see me keeping track between LJ/KI/BG over the past year or so. I've uniquely done SSR and BR for the past 6 months or so at least 3-4 times a week. Done maybe 10 other runs. For the last month I've done SSR or BR daily/stacked tags and gone twice.

My first run leading my EX group on Hades gave Morrigan Body, the next run gave Morrigan Body and Ares Body, and the run after that gave full drop Chariot. I've only seen 1 of each Body since then, and those EX runs were February 2008.

Salvage drop rates do suck, even if they're occasionally nice.

The fact that you're a fucking idiot makes you a fucking idiot. One group's drop rate =/= another group's drop rate. One of my friends had never seen Skadi Feet 35 off Chariot for MONTHS of spamming AR off & on, while my group was pretty much throwing them away every other AR. I was also 1/39~ or so on Usu Feet 35 which is beyond morbid for a rampart (that's 1/39 on Bee popping and not dropping btw~).

I find it hard to believe that people can go over 200 runs without seeing a certain piece of armor. I have 19 completed pieces over a 2 or 3 year span and it's never taken me more than 30 consecutive runs (I go every day) of a certain zone/route to see the drop I wanted. In the meantime, though, I have seen people QQ and up their 0/??s needlessly to get compassion from others, which in turn just boosts the notion that Salvage shit is hard to get because of the drop rates.

Old group mate is 0/415+ on Macha's 35 coat. It's all luck. Some get lucky, some don't.

Yeah look at my Macha's coat drop.
Over 100 runs at 2-4 rats per run = 200-400 minimum. That was the first one I saw. I guess this guy just has better luck than most. Salvage gear is mostly luck, even on 7 runs a week. Which is why I find those Salvage icons sigs pretty gay.

I'm with Zephr, because I have a basic understanding of statistics. If you call hikazu kabuto a 3% drop(it's higher according to wiki and most experience), there's a 1/442 chance of going 0/200 and a 1/2028 chance of going 0/250. If you raise that to 5%, it becomes 1/28529 at 0/200 and 1/370765 at 0/250. Shit's possible, but it's not as common as the whiners on this board seem to think.

As far as macha's coat, you get to kill the NM 4x per run.. so when bitching about droprates you need to take that into account. 0/200 becomes 0/50 runs, which is bad, but not nearly as ridiculous.
