ES debuff have a 50% duration on it now? that would.. be unfortunate.

Kind of gay if they nerfed it for BLM main, considering it's a native job ability. For subjob, well, can't really complain about that.
Brd in my nyzul group noticed tonight lullaby had 50% duration, if even that, on just normal mobs.
The stupid earlier in this thread made me throw up a little.
Hoping debuff duration is just something they fucked up and are going to fix soon...
I brought this up before when discussing Head Butt's effect on Stun for spells being cast by Heraldic Imps in an older thread. I provided several pictures showing the Imp casting, Head Butt's stun effect clearly wearing off almost immediately--and always before the "casts" line in the log--and the Imp still successfully getting its spell off (and usually killing me as a result), but it was mostly hand-waved off as being a "glitch" and problems with the chat log.
It's not just TP moves and Manafonted spells; if Stun wears off early enough in the charge or casting of anything, it will not prevent it from occurring. When the end of the "early enough" window ends varies, and it's clearly longer for Meltdown than for most other things. Not being able to stop Meltdown because you were actually paying attention and caught it early is very common; there should be plenty of people who can share similar experiences with that alone.
That's entirely wrong regarding non-BRD spells, sorry. But yes, stun wearing before a TP move finishes will allow it to go off, same for a manafonted spell.
Is this directed at me? Because if it is, you should look at the thread I linked to and the pictures in it. Having done a few solo merits on Heraldic Imps, I have plenty of experience with this happening and can say it's 100% true.Originally Posted by Thorny
And by "a few," I mean almost 250 merits, solo.
I've never seen a stun wearing preemptively stop a tp move or fail to stop a not-manafonted spell. If anything, there's a very low chance of spells getting off through stun.. or head butt is just wonky and works in a way similar to prepatch weapon bash in that it might not interrupt casting despite stun landing. It's certainly not nearly as obvious as if you stun too fast on long tp moves.
More relevant: I went to solo Fenrir for my friend earlier and I got fucking reamed. Gravity was wearing before recast was up on the first cast, binds were lasting 15-20 seconds tops, etc, all with the same gear I normally use. Perhaps it's an across-the-board nerf to magic duration or accuracy? (possibly intentional to not overpower rdm with composure? but most likely accidental)
I've known about Stun and Manafont for a while now, but I know this is the first instance I've ever heard of mob TP moves and stun, at least. It's interesting, to say the least.
My LS did an Ouryu also and we had the exact same thing, we had to have 2 BLM use ES Sleep2 on the ground because only one sleep didn't last long enough, and we were using PLD/RDM.
They probably did the same thing to Tiamat and Khim but neither of them will pop until later in the day so we won't know until then
Sleep IIs in North. Gusta seem to be working fine. Is this isolated on impossible to gauge mobs only by any chance?
Just tested. Dia works fine on Morion Worm (Sleep resist =/) standard 60s. Sleep II works fine on Lesser birds and lv 0 mobs... so might be isolated to certain events / NM?
Speculation:
Since there was an issue with Resist Charm and other Resist status traits being 100%, it makes me think that there may have been a change to the Resist Traits so that they affect duration instead of just resist rates.
Sure you don't mix stuff up here, since Resist Silence for example (on BRD) does most certainly block out being silenced alltogather when it actually triggers (like once in a green full moon when cockroaches mate with possums after a nuclear war).
(actually nevermind me, I misunderstood you I think)
Could be possible... when I tested on Morion Worm, I had checked Wiki and it was listed as resisted sleep. Since I couldn't sleep it at all I just assumed it was meant as immune to sleep and left it at that. Since I've never tried to sleep it in the past I don't really have a comparision.
