JP friends tested:
1. once you register the token to your SE acct, you will HAVE TO choose "use" for 1 time pw on your playonline screen in order to log in.
2. There is no option to choose which POL ID to "use" and which POL ID to "do not use" the 1 time pw. Once the SE acct is registered to a token, you MUST "USE" for all POL ID
3. After registering the token to your SE account, you can still add in POL IDs to get the bag. Once your comfortable with it, and confirmed you dont wanna use the token, you can unregister the token, and all your linked POL ID will still have bag, but will permantly use the SE Account pw to log in. This means your account is vulnerable forever........i hope SE can allow us to save the SE Acct password in the future.
4. for people who didnt wish to buy a token, and if you already linked your POL ID to a SE Account..........seriously wtf?
I'm so pissed off you can't save the SE password. Every time I d/c, I gotta type that fucking thing in and it adds absolutely no extra security. It's pointless, annoying and short-sighted of them.
ITT: "Can you guys explain something to me that has been outlined 300 times in previous threads plus a sticky at the top of advanced?"
I'm noticing quite the hypocritical overtone in a lot of your posting. I'll say this though, if some people don't want to it or want to use it, why in gods name would people link their account/want the in-game incentive? You're kinda defeating the purpose of the whole thing.
Though it is kinda funny you want people to shut up about it and 'get over it' when the people who don't want it or want to use it seem to can't shut up and get over things themselves.
Cant believe I missed this Gem.
Not only did you not contribute anything to ANY thread on BG, ever. You didnt contribute anything to the ACP complaint thread besides insult posts against anyone that didnt like the expansion.
No, I didnt like the add on. No, I didnt feel it was worth 10 dollars. No, Im not excited about this being the future of FFXI. No, I didnt want the Token, because I am getting deployed again and it is a pain in the ass for people using 2 accounts. Yes, I outlined ways to communicate with SE and change this system of add ons BACK to expansions.
Alot of people disagreed with me, and that is there right. The last thread became an insult ridden flame bait thread, and even there you looked like a fucking douchebag, even while riding the bandwagon of lolvag.
But to finish it off, you start posting in other threads, wishing I get shot while deployed?
You must have lost your fucking mind. You're half the man I am. You've contributed noithing to this world besides lowering the average IQ. You've contributed 1/100th what I have to this forum. And you are a burden to everyone around you.
I dont ever hope you get shot, because your life is obviously pretty pathetic as it is, and I want you to live with that, as long as possible.
I <3 IE8.
Though it would of been funny to see SE deactivate the use of the satchel if the user dissabled the token.
Don't sweat it Neo, lets just pray for him.
That was pretty low though lol. I haet ur online persona so I hope u die in RL for srs. This shit just got mad real yo.
Assuming you only use your account while deployed, I still don't see the issue unless the armed forces do not allow you to take the token with you. This assumes it is not lost or destroyed in the process though.
The only problem I can come up with is if you and your wife either play on each others account, or you both share some third account.
A few reasons, one of which being that people signed up for a Square Enix account while waiting for the Token to arrive. It wouldn't make sense if you signed up for the SE Account and didn't have the token in your possession and that option was not present. You would have a lot of pissed off people locked out of their account for a week while they had to wait for the Token to arrive.
Another reason is that people might want to use the SE Account if they have two accounts and they want to link them to one ID (Square Enix Member) and they may not want to use the Token.
We both play on each other, and since I wont be playing much while deployed (once a month or so), she will have full access and use of my character. So if I get some free time and want to log on and say howdy to my friends, I would have to call her at 2am and get a passcode.
That or just deactivate it, in which case I just paid for inventory (and you know how I feel about that).
Still blows me away anyone really thinks people are upset over 10 dollars and not the principle of the matter.
I guess principles are a bit too much to ask for sometimes. "you didnt have to buy it", "SE is a business", "leakyvag", etc etc.
Well, that does complicate things unless you can hook up multiple devices to a single account (which starts to actually get a little pricey depending on how many times you have to do it). If the in-game item had been some stupid little mog house furniture, would you still be pissed off?
Nope. Not even a little.
I don't see why anyone would be upset about the cost of the token whether or not they supported the idea. Unless you were some kind of efficiency expert and have no mules, the mog satchel should grant you enough extra space to allow you to obsolete one or more mules and recoup the cost of the token in (10 / # of mules deactivated) months.
From then on out, you are actually going to experience a savings.
People that want to argue principle can still do so, I guess. They can enjoy a nice slice of the pie in the sky while they're at it, cause it's not gonna change the way things are, lol. But for me it's about bottom line and I'm gonna come out with more inventory space AND some extra change in my pocket, yo.
Again, do people really think it was about the money?
Also, I would say most people will keep their mules around for Bonanza stuff, crafting, checking AH, and other things. I doubt many people are going to get the satchel and cancel a dozen mules in the process, though I may be wrong.
