Satchel + deactivating

Yep, I am butthurt that people can't keep their opinion (that the security token is their lord and savior and anyone not using it is an infidel who should be shot) in one of the many threads intended for discussing the token itself, and out of a thread for discussing the specifics of deactivation.

Theoretically, you should be able to simply turn on the "One-Time Password" in POL, log in, have your Mog Satchel activated from logging on with your token, then logging out, turning off the "One-Time Password" option and continuing on with your life. I believe they stated somewhat vaguely that once you activate your Mog Satchel by logging in with your token's password, it's permanently on, and won't be affected by any other manipulations of your POL Accounts, SE Accounts, Tokens, Content IDs, etc.

Does it work like that? If you can simply go to your settings and turn off 1time password, couldn't anyone just do that then log into your stuff?

I think the option is only there in POL viewer because it doesn't auto-detect whether you have a token associated to your SE account until you actually try to log in. If you have a token activated and try to log in without the one-time password it'll just give an error.

Well uh, newsflash, but you are on a public forum where sometimes, every now and then, when the stars line up just right, someone might post their opinion and it might not be the same as yours. For someone that exclusively makes posts complaining about other people's opinions, you sure are upset that Kerb is complaining about the token.

Being that kerb was responding to other people not understanding about how some people dont want the token and NOT just attacking people that want the token, I have to say you are arguing just to argue. Every post you make is an attack on one person's opinions, based on the premis that you dont like them "attacking other people's opinions".

Anyway to get back on topic, anyone confirmed its safe to activate token, link pol account, login pol into game get satchel, deactivate token forever and keep satchel forever? just wanna make sure before i deactivate i dont get fucked outta the satchel... and dont say why dont you test and tell us... thats why im asking needs a guinea pig and thats not me D:

It was already confirmed by SE, point is that we want to see if the satchel will grow up with your gobbiebag if you don't do the last 2 quests before deactivating it.

thanks for the confirm, another issue i dislike is that SE made it so if you deactivate its useless forever, why not just let us make it temp deactivate and allow us to reactivate later.. just make it impossible to register the same id to multiple accounts -_-

Pretty sure you can buy a new one if you decide you want it later. Just that particular token is useless once you deactivate.
