Sanctity of marriage? Please. I show you divorce rate figures and Vegas drive through chapels. How can anyone still claim that? Fuck your "sanctity." Also, segregation works totally. We tried seperate but equal 50 years ago, and we all can tell how well that worked out in the end.

It's something that pisses me off because by our own laws it's illegal not to have it as marriage. Separate but equal (joined unions) are not the same, and to top it off, we made such "ideas" illegal less than 30 years ago.

This is such a hot-button topic for me, and to be honest, it's the number one reason why I am quick to just label religious zealots as fucktard scum unless they prove they aren't a hypocrite first. Yes, I realize the irony and hypocracy of being closed minded while trying to promote an open minded idea. I don't care either. Growing up in the bible belt I just learned to hate the lot of 'em.

I dont know what does it matter, I guess it only matters to a straight person if his/her wife is gay and they didnt know. Otherwise you pass people in the street, in the car, or even at walmart. The real truth is that you never know anything about a person until they tell you. Just like the senators that have been caught up in gay scandles. If i remember right they all voted and have voted agianst gay rights.

The truth betold rights are a slippery slop. for one person its the right of being gay and still being human. For me it the gd taxes they have put on fcking ciggerettes. to that crackhead its why isnt crack legal. who decides what is okay and what is not okay. does a non smoker feel the same way that a smoker feels about smoke free public areas? what makes the non smoker right and the smoker wrong.

Something to think about what if back in the day a group of people decided that opposite sex marriage was wrong? that would be a twist straight people hiding there straightness. hidding pregencies, protesting anti-straight laws.... black, white, oriental, arab, spanish,
catholic, jewish, muslim, christians and their many sets. why not outlaw these oh we have black rights and in wwII the japanese consentration camps. some say closed mindedness some say open mindedness. I like to think of it as collective meteconcert elevation. where the life is more important than the way the life has been lived.

Why is a person always defined by there differences. when the difference is only appearance and thinking. Martin Luther King was on to something with the Human rights concept. We are more than our skin and sexual perferences.

Don't get me wrong, if a priest does not want to marry two couples of the same sex, then I'm fine with that. It's in their right to practice the laws of their religion.

However, I have seen way more same-sex couple relationships last in happiness than straight ones. Let them be happy, let them have their marriage, let them have the rights we have.

I think the sanctity of marriage is a farce myself. Marriage as an institution is not the problem... it's forced, however, on many people who should not be married and on top of that, should not be having kids. Instead, the entire planet just multiplies itself and doesn't care about relationships in general anymore, yet they cling to this whole idea that marriages should be sacred and between a man and a woman.

Biologically, men and women should be together since it promotes the growth of the species. Socially, who gives a shit?
