Shameless Self-Promotion

So, I recently made a music video to a song I adored and I threatened to post it here when finished.

Well today I follow through with that threat!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE for the love of Pete, watch it in HD, or I will be very sad.

Couple things to note:

-The song is Boomerang by Mae
-All of the writing, directing and editing was done by me.
-The equipment was very expensive haha
-I am looking for comments and criticisms
-I realize the quality is pretty shitty, even for the HD version which makes me all kinds of pissed off. I plan on re-exporting it later when I am home from work and then ill re-host it on youtube...hopefully it will look better.

For that reason, please leave any comments as replies here, rather than the video as it will likely be deleted when I upload the new one.

Learn to white balance.

Well, actually watching it, it wasn't too bad I guess for amateur work (not trying to come off as an expert, by the way, as I'm not). The white balancing issue in some of the outdoor shots could really ruin your day if this was done for a client, as that's the first thing you should be doing any camera set up before shooting.

I watched about half and agree with the white balance remark, but mostly on the outside shots. The music was also really really loud, idk. But other than that it was a nice concept and pretty cute

Yea... the white balancing was ugh... we shot all of the outdoor shots before my cameraman realized he still had it set to the indoor white balance. I tried to color correct it as best as I could in post, but this is how close I could get it without dulling the remaining colors.

Admittedly I suck at color correction and if anyone is better at it, I would love some tips :D

As for the music, I exported it at standard audio settings so not sure why its so loud o.O

So I tired re-uploading it to Youtube at a much higher quality....came out lower quality on then the first time...

Whats up with that? lol.

Loose the microphone, chill on the indulgent close-ups, and create a theme that doesn't revolve around that awesome pool. To be quite honest, that pool is the only rememberable thing about your video.
