Un-installing FFXI.

Decided to leave the game, (not deleting character, but I am sure I will have another comp by then), so I was wondering, what is the best way to get FFXI off my computer?

I heard about the Eraser program in Apps and Tools stickies, but I wanted some people's opinions, I want it COMPLETELY off my comp, and I have heard horror stories about FFXI continuing to bury files in places it shoudln't be, only what I have heard.

So what should I use?

General Uninstall programs tool, or do something else?

Why does it matter?

Uninstall from add/remove programs, the delete the playonline folder in program folders. There you go. And if it bugs you that much, you can get rid of the pointless stuff it leaves behind in regedit.

Ok, I was only going by what I heard with the uninstaller not working fully, that's all. Thanks for the advice.

I'd delete the playonline folder, then uninstall. It sounds backwards but from the last time I uninstalled it takes F O R E V E R if you let it do it.

I uninstalled it just from remove programs, and voila, free 45~ gigabytes.
