Gear Auto-Augmented?

I was using a friend's SAM earlier, and was pulling out gear, when I noticed this. His Tredecim Scythe said that it was Augmented, despite the owner having never done Fields of Valor (hadn't even logged in in over two weeks, so this puts him at before the Update) and that the weapon is Lv74, when Augmenting cap is Lv50.

This leads me to wonder what kind of bug this is, if any, and if anyone else is experiencing this too?

I guess it's an automark for weapon that has _hidden_ latent?

Try checking again after zoning/relogging (anything that will make the game reload the data again). Maybe log the char from another PC.
