The Grip, Ring and HQ body(without other basic gear ect) would be the only things I'd really complain about. If he didn't have the bravura, I'd just put him in the "not rich but attempts" category.

Only items I say that you should be missing as a DD with a relic are Dusk+1(hands ONLY- have the feet ~_~ or the ZNM ones but then the acc is not the point with +20 on the axe), speed belt(swift ok speed is 1/3rd a fucking relic), and some rare/ex stuff (not much but a few). maybe byakkos, even that i think you should have. theres not much you should be missing if you have the gil for a relic.

edit: the gear is like a monk having a Spharai, however he does not have a Shura Togi
