I thought about it and it's just not worth it, because I'd be sacrificing [at least] 4 STR during WS instead of 1.25 accuracy during TP.

TPing in Rajas, Brutal, Nuevo = 16.6*5=83TP
WSing in Rajas, Brutal, Hdomaru = 16.9

    83+16.9=99.9TP

Gimp: If they have any mention of Naruto anywhere.

Tards, all of 'em. Denali Bonnet is a great dat swap.

Don't have a great SS, but my friend tries trioing the first ACP BC with a RDM/DNC, BLU/NIN, and WHM/SCH. I got to sit and watch them die. :D

...Then I got to sit while the BLU decided "no, I can do this!" and they re-farmed the afterglows. And died again. And farmed. And the WHM left, but the BLU said they could dual-box them. Still died.

yah but overall you get 3% haste to WS speed as well, thus +7% WS dmg too, so losing 3 str is worth it imo. But eucphoria is only 1 stp after all lol so I guess its better actually if you dont have HQ rings.

Town gear, I know, but this is still a very good example of what not to do on MNK. The ring is a Ruby, too.

This one saddened me really because he got the body right, just ended up getting everything else wrong. Melee pants are for kick boots, 2x Ruby rings (how do goldsmiths get people to buy these?), melee gloves are acceptable (but really okote arent that hard to get), 2x Coral earrings (Im pretty sure Spike earrings are cheaper (and can be used at a lower level), Chiv chain (spectacles are better and very cheap), and we all know how easy Turban is to get. Seriously, it's monks like these that give us a bad rep.

Of course, what gimp post is complete without the local gimp SAM. I thought this one was funny due to the LS name. Very appropriate. I kinda hope the dude is just joking around, but I kinda doubt it..........

This one made me die a little inside. Offhand Kclub (really?) with what seems to be a miss-match of WS gear and TP gear. He did his body with 10Acc, 3 DW, which is fine for a NIN or THF, but I really dont see why you would offhand Kclub to begin with........
He has HQ2 Triumph earring, Triumph ring, and he would have been much better off spending all that excess gil on an E-bow or Hellfire +1.

    town gear ect.

This made me wonder. The best AH option for a MNK's legs is Prince's Slops (well, not counting the significantly more expensive Strike Subligar plus kick boots). Next best non-endgame item, I'd say, would be Cobra legs (over Pahluwan, although which of the two is easier to acquire depends upon your server and/or friends, I suppose). But in a world where this person has only done Dynamis and never Campaign, Assault, Salvage or Sky, would you believe that Melee Hose would be superior to Prince's Slops? Particularly if Kick Attacks are fully merited.

I'm thinking no, that Prince's Slops would still be superior, since naturally the ACC is always applicable and the chance of Kick Attacks firing off is still a chance. Still, I don't think Melee Hose is too bad. They could be wearing Jujitsu Sitabaki or something.

I don't know about that, in regard to the "rep" thing. I agree 100% with everything you've said (despite my having discussed the leg matter earlier), but this seems like someone who may be misguided rather than a lost cause. This is the kind of person I'd send a /t to and try to talk with.

    Confuzzled over here bros.
More acc on a haub(+1) for 2 handers, due to dex.

Shura vs a Hauby-augmented Mirke is 5Str, 5 Dex, 2~3 attack, 2~3acc, and 1~2 fStr vs 10 attack. While I still took Nuevo for my PLD and use Togi on Mnk, HauberMNK is the better piece. Especially since MNK weapon rank is so low, we're not so needy attack-wise as many other jobs, and we do have access to ridiculous amounts of Attack gear (hi Bandos).

As far as Sam goes, yeah I still use Hauby over Shura. 3~4 more Acc, 1~2 more fStr, at a loss of 6~7 attack. No-brainer =x

You are right. Tbh, MNK has a real dead zone of gear mid-60s+ (?) and Prince's or Melee are acceptable. Also, as for melee v. prince, within a very small range from 71-75 before h2h merits where dune/wulong+1/hakki boots with Melee Hose outperform prince/cobra/republic and fumas. However, once you start to get h2h merits, things swing back in favor of haste boots.

Tbh, it is far from being the most gimp in thread, but ah well. It's what I found in my screenshot folder.
