It just boggles my mind why people spend so much of their time bashing other players because of the gear they're wearing. Yes, gear makes a difference, and wearing certain pieces makes absolutely no sense at all but lets be serious here... who cares?! If the player and his gear are absolute garbage tell him, than find a replacement for him and explain that he is holding the party back from achieving their full potential. It's that easy.

Another thing I dont quite understand is why its essential to be fully equiped and have the best gear when your lvling at low lvls? I personally have many jobs lvld to 75 and to be honest, I dont have the 16 inv spots to spare to fill with garbage low lvl gear that is going to have little to no effect on my overall performance.

However all this being said im a firm believer that each persons "main" job that they use the majority of the time should always be geared to their best of their financial ability. Just take it easy on the poor players who have no idea how to make gil and how to equip their characters. Educate them dont embarass them lol

That was a very contructive response thanks! >.> I just feel sorry for the players who get bashed on a public forum about their equipment due to the lack of gil that they have. Let's be serious. How can someone who plays a few hrs a week have the reasources to properly equip a lvl 75 player?? it's next to impossible. However if they play fulltime....there really isnt much of an excuse and the bashing should continue!!

yeah im aware of the type of people on here and I enjoy the responses out of people its hilarious shit tbh. I cant wait till i finish my relic in about a month or so and sport the WORST gear ever with it. At this time I will post a picture of myself and wait for people flame me and call me gimp!!

The idea is you progress at the rate your playtime allows. If you aren't going to do it correctly, don't do it at all. When I see people wearing gear that has a better cheap replacement 5-10 levels ago, that's unacceptable. IM gear? Awesome, I love defense, VIT, and Ranged Accuracy on DRK too! Most of the people posted in this thread fail at the concept of oppertunity cost, getting one shiny item when for the same price they could have multiplied the benefit by getting different better gear. You are apparently the perfect example of this.

I don't expect perfect gear from everyone. Hell, my gear is far from perfect.

When I post gimps, I only post ones that are so totally ass-backwards they would be no worse off, or even better off not wearing gear. Such as the RNG using a haste belt. Or the SAM using near-full AF.

If a player makes and effort, and knows what they need to do to improve, thats good enough for me.

But if they tank in a V Cloak and use a Great Sword over Sword and Shield, I'm screen shotting.
