PS3 Question

I bought my PS3 from Japan on Ebay, and I am wondering will this play all PS3 games? I haven't messed with it much but watch blu-ray movies on it, I know so far it runs NeedforSpeed Carbon, Virtue Fighter5, but it will not play Kingdom Hearts2. Also, O is the main button -.-, any way to change that? O and X are switched.. hate it lol.

All PS3 games are region free, so you can play any damn PS3 game you wish. However, the PS2 (and PS1 maybe?) games are not region free, hence why you can't play KH2.

Also, yank the controller apart and swap the buttons. It's not that hard.

no no i mean O and X are in their correct spots, but you press O to select stuff and X to cancel. and thanks for the info about games! ^^

I have no clue about the confirm/cancel buttons. I'd actually like mine to switch. I'm used to all of my RPGs being setup that way, Haha.

As far as the games, yeah. Tyche is right. PS1/2 are not region free and require a form of modding. Modchips or Flip Tops, but the PS3 has no need for that. Since most PS3's aren't backwards compatible anyway (at least the cheaper ones I think?), you wouldn't be able to play older games on it anyway unless it was downloadable content. PS3's are region free for Blu-Ray and what not, so you'll be good there.

Yeah, I was used to old FF games being that way, and then at some point it switched to the American format. Annoyed me to no end as you can't change it in the settings...
