Finished up Tiger Force and moved on to a book called City of Glass by Cassandra Clare. Read the first few chapters then promptly gave the book to my sister to read while she stays up all night with her baby. The book is a slightly more sexual knock off of Twilight. Which I hated and will never read anything else in that series. Though I suppose if you're interested in pulpy vampire romance novels this is right up your alley. Hmm now what to read. Do I go back to the Zombie Survival Guide for the umpteenth time or do I grab something different tonight.

someone reccommended Pillars of the Earth, despite the fact it's an old Oprah booklist thingy (2007 according to wiki) and is from 1989, the way it was summarized to me sounds pretty epic in scale (I really do try to avoid the use of 'epic' but I think it's over 1000 pages)

thing still sells 100,000 copies a year, can't be too bad

It is awesome, part 1 and 2, there is a part 3 now, but i havent read it.

Musical Hallucinations - Oliver Sacks (dont know if its called that way, just translated)
there is 2 karl popper books that i read sometimes just 4 fun
and the new book about steve jobs, forgot the title thought..

i highly recomend The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, The Singularity is near by Ray Kurzweil and all Vampire Anne Rice books or Tolkien books, they are simply epic.

Fuck ya! I'm reading The Shadow Rising from the Wheel of Time right now, I'm actually happy that it's so long, here's hoping it's still as good as it is now... If you liked LOTR or fantasy, give this series a try.

Also, I'm reading What is the What by Dave Eggers. It's for a class, but it's good enough that I'd read it on my own time. I'd type a description, but amazon probably would explain it better than me.

Even though I'm only on book 8 (The Path of Daggers), I started to read Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson to see his writing style and how he might write the last wheel of time books. And A Memory of Light is being split into 3 books, so it will be a grand total of 14 depending on how you look at it.

Just a note: Got to the last chapter of Three Cups of Tea and had to put the book down. It was an actual effort to read. I got so sick of it half way through and it sounded like the writer did too. The first half of the book I fucking loved, up until that point I was emotionally invested in the characters, loved where it was going, then it just fell off a cliff. I don't see why people are praising this book like a god send when everyone I'ved talked too who has read it fucking hated the latter half of the book.

Save yourself the money and time, don't read it.
