The math if i remember correct from when i ran numbers for War awhile back says he would have 92%ish acc average with Agg up be like 93% down like 89% since he has capped aggressor that average makes sense, however friendly advice you might be able to put up even better numbers with some more acc though I'm guessing you already put some on between Agg.
Also I could justify ethereal and Ares body for Rune Chopper, with sanction probably wouldn't need refresh spell.
i agree man. i seen you post a while now, and we always have the same ideas on gearing up similar jobs. ill be the 1st to admit i never have 95% acc on my war at REAL camps, but at the same time i feel like haste is the most important stat to shoot for (i liked my sam 1st because it was stronger and my main). ppl used to give me shit about not having askar head, but in the end, i wouldve stuck with turban even if i did have one. only piece i would swap out for acc when i was on my war is probably the aurum sabatons though. i had 4 gaxe merits and my jade pty's had me at around 88% acc with around 1100 average w/KJ. i dont think its too bad with only 4 merits. i know dudes like PNL probably average higher since he specifically mains it.
my war was kinda gimp since it was my newest job, but it still got the job done good.

i used to have cerb+1 but i was funding an amano at the time, and sold one agessss ago lol. my war was gimp bad! i never found the need to upgrade to dusk+1 since i had full usu as a mnk/sam/nin specialist and war and drk 2ndary but meh. LM-17! t'sall gewd
So what's better?
Sushi, high Haste: FFXIGEAR.com
or
Meat, with high Acc gear that would require OHat and Hachiryu Kote and Toreador's most likely...
If you can't get a RDM to reliably Refresh you, get a new fucking RDM. When that spell means the difference between having 9% haste or not, they may as well be forgetting to actually cast Haste on you. There's no reason to let your accuracy go to shit because of incompetent support.
With a Weapon Delay of 480 to attain a 6 Hits Build, you need 29 Store Tp with 15 Store Tp form your Job Trait and 0 Store Tp form your Merits.
It means that you only have to wear 14 Store Tp while TPing and 11 while using a Weapon Skill.
wat? 14? Rajas, Brutal &...
with 8/8 pole

and without 8 merits?
I meant to post this a bit ago but this guy did a pretty decent comparison of WAR weapons.
The unbearable triteness of preening: A comparison of Fortitude Axe, Perdu Voulge, and Engetsuto for Greater Colibri
No idea how accurate his math is though since I suck at ffxi math.
The maths is good but the conclusion is by far the most accurate:
Without sufficient accuracy and support though, meriting with polearm seems to be a waste of time.
I save my Polearm for my SAM, when I'm WAR I like my GA better, even though I've seen and know I can get high results with Polearm for my WAR as well.
With no Polearm merits and keeping a 6-hit what would parse best:
FFXIGEAR.com capped Accuracy, 17% Haste and +5% Critical Hit Rate (from dDEX 45~50 cap).
or
FFXIGEAR.com 20% Haste, 88% Accuracy with no Aggressor and capped Accuracy under Aggressor which is up 70% of the time.
I don't have Aurum Cuirass or Hachiryu Kote but just curious.
Hmm. Does Gaxe pull farther ahead the better the gear is or does polearm?
This is my WS gear currently and I have an unlocked Gondo:

I also have room for Polearm merits <_<
The full conclusion that Starr couldn't bother posting because he'd rather convince himself that mediocrity is acceptable:
If you don't have polearm merits because you're too lazy/stubborn to remove your sword or axe merits, don't bother. If you can't afford accuracy gear because you rely on Pizzas to do the work for you, don't bother. If you can afford great gear, then go for it.If you had polearm merits and enough accuracy (whether from equipment or a Madrigal), a combination of polearm and meat mithkabob spamming could be more "efficient" (more so for 6-hit) if your idea of efficiency is wasting a bard song on Madrigal or spending millions on the scarce accuracy equipment (basically Toreador's Rings or Sniper Rings +1 and Cuchulain's Mantle) to eke out more accuracy. Without sufficient accuracy and support though, meriting with polearm seems to be a waste of time.
Edit: also
No combat skill merits are considered for the polearm cases. With that in mind, it seems futile to use polearm on Colibri without spamming crab sushi to achieve capped hit rate (or getting a Madrigal). Without meat mithkabobs and the high hit rate, the piercing bonus can't overcome the attack deficit.
I'm curious about the Rune Chopper: Thrashes Perdu (and maybe polearm?) if you get the refresh?
The biggest problem I see with a lot of WARs is that they tend to use the same WS sets for both Polearm and GAxe. The issue with this, is that many WARs tend to use a lot of ACC gear, which is great for Polearm, but severly crushes their RR/KJ damage.
Sath for example: you have so much overkill for ACC in your WS. Fire Bomblet should be a Bomb Core(Keep the Bomblet for TP). Get yourself Sea Gorgets for KJ and RR. Assault Earrings should be a Brutal. Cuch's (Fine for TP, overrated IMO) should be a Forager's. Everything else is fine. Let the fact that an A+ weapon fully merited with Hasso/Aggressor with the other solid pieces you have for ACC (Gorget, Hauby +1, Haidate, Hecatomb) be all that you need. Take some unecessary pieces out and pump more attack/STR/DA into your WS build.
With those changes you are still WSing in +30 ACC and +43 DEX, but you gain 5% DA and +21 Attack.
Edit: Wtf with that gear and no Rajas?
I've parsed with Orson plenty, he is always around 91-92% overall ACC with that setup.
Rune Chopper vs. Perdu/Fort/Polearm is a matter of gear. Of course a really nice RC build is going to win against your common WAR wearing 19% haste, but other weapons are going to scale much better with HQ gear. If you have HQ Dusk and Speed, then RC's only going to be for stuff like mixing in Hachi hands, etc., for crit builds.
The problem I have with the linked "article" is that it appears to presume no outside attack buffs/defense debuffs at all. If you throw Chaos Roll or a 2nd BRD (double Min) in the mix, the difference in pDIF between PLM and GAX is significantly reduced.
In fact, generally speaking, the ATK buffs/DEF debuffs on the mob, the better PLM will do over GAX. And since elite-level parties will have plenty of the above, if you are a person that is in a position to care about min-maxing GAX vs. PLM, then you are almost certainly in a position to have plenty of pDIF boosts from support.
