Tip those who are in this-pear over this: If it does not add areas then it isn't worth being thought of as an expansion. That means it will be as good as horse armor. Maybe you like horse armor. Just remember: It is horse armor and it is 10 buxs.

Okay, so the new content really isn't all that great, but I doubt complaining about it, at least in here, is going to do anything at all (except make you the target of a plethora of "sandy vag" comments). If the way SE has been functioning now-a-days really gets to you then send in a complaint, and encourage other people to do so, maybe they'll make the next one better. Be firm, get your point across, but avoid stupidity and needless shouting through the written word. Or the other option is to simply migrate to another MMO. If FFXI is really getting that bad for you then it shouldn't be a problem to go play LoTR Online, or WoW, or EQ2 or something like that.

My point is that useless whining and grumbling isn't going to do anything, except maybe help you find a new friend that's a miserable as you are.

Underwhelmed. Fighting over 16 or w/e minute spawns for low level 2004 mobs wasn't my idea of a good time. The time sink of having to get to each ??? only to fight an lolNM that dies after you ws it is also not my idea of fun. It was a pretty big step back in terms of design.

I won't be getting the other add-ons unless the reward is something I really want or the reviews after general consensus is it was a lot of fun.

They meant for low levels to be able to start the missions, but as you get farther you'd need to be higher level.. like all the other missions

I think SE is trying something new. They want to continue to develop stuff for FFXI in a cost effective manner. 9.99 is more than enough for this expansion. It costs 7 dollars to go to the movies and that's 90 minutes.

This expansion entertained you for hours. SE shoulda charged double. It was wonderful. I hope the future expansions are slightly more expensive so Neo's threads will become even more ridiculous.

I wont be getting the next tbh. Unless the reward benefits me... We all pretty much paid $10/£7 for a headache and (well, for myself anyways) a macro piece.

I'd rather of had 1 expansion, all 3 combined, that had a storyline which was followable, intresting, and actually was fun. I know people QQ about the 'old' dificulty of the CoP missions, but I really did love doing them. With the whole level synced gear now having missions like CoP would be far more feasable...

But I guess SE are too busy planning/spending time on Rapture to care lol.

Then why didn't they level sync it? Making the Delks climb level 30 sync is pointless... since a 75 character can train each zone. Really pointless.... /wrists

On another note, we all knew the reward was going to be mediocre before we bought the expansion. We saw the augment possibilities and the base gear, so we knew what the potential was. The only slap in the face was the rest of the expansion. I personally like it, then again I play nearly once a week so anything interests me really.

5 minute repops. You don't even have to get ACP straight away or rush through it. The nature of the problem at hand is that of the behaviour of players wanting to be first / get their stuff asap, not with the game itself.
The people who designed the missions could have overcompensated for this rush, but they really didnt have to, and it would defeat the purpose of bringing players back to those said zones anyway.

You really don't. There is no 1 way of playing the game, nor is it necessary to even get to level 75, but most people want to do the things u say because it opens up new experiences for them. FFXI isn a 1 dimensional MMORPG. Leveling up isnt the only thing to do to begin with.. so if you can find something else you enjoy in it, sticking to that doesn't hurt you, it just closes off your options...
but having more equipment space doesn't really give you anything new, it is merely a convenience that saves time at best. I don't need it, but i want it cos its a luxury to be able to store more stuff..

i bought the ffxi add on with hope of something to do, 48 hrs later im back where i started. am i disappointed? yes. seeing as i paid 5.37 for re5 DLC which has far more play/replay value then my 10$ add on. and they're both about the same amount of content. will i buy the next add on's? its a toss up, if theres a in game item that i deem worth it i may consider it, otherwise if they dont do sum serious rethinking of the content i probably wont bother.. as for the one guys comment about an "EXTREMELY" sexy body.. where?
